Well these were supposed to be squeezed in the end of last month but I didn't make it so here is hoping I start this month strong; I, Brother Argent, vow for the month of July to finish 1x Aeldari Fire Dragon 4x Aeldari Howling Banshees 1x Aeldari Autarch Skyrunner 1x Aeldari Wraithlord. That will be the majority of my first Call to Arms vow, so hopefully I can get it and more done. Big swing from one model a month to seven... but her is hoping.

Well it may have taken me about five times as long as I intended but I finished my Tau Commander: Can't really see it in the photos but I even lashed out and tried some water effects on the base. Probably one of the happiest I've been on a model for ages. Just noticed the marks on the white on his chest. Thery weren't intentional, but almost look like battle damage so I might just roll with it. Still, not got anywhere near the productivity I wanted for this month so might have to try to bash out a few quick modesl by the weekend. Not sure how much luck I will have though. Damned good to get a model finished though. And one I am really happy with.

The skeins of fate have shifted once more and I have followed the ebb and flow of destiny to another Call to Arms. I, Brother Argent, shall rail against my fated doom of failure and sing life into the Wraithbone for the glory of the Craftworld Aeldari. I shall, through the guidance of Khaela Mensha Khaine muster a Warhost of: 1x Autarch on Jetbike (an Entry for the Master of the Forge catogory as well) (5pts) 1x Farseer on Jetbike (5pts) 4x Howling Banshees (4 pts) - realised one still painted. So need to wait on paint stripper for one 5x Wraithguard/Blade (possibly magnetised) (5pts) 1x Wraithlord (5pts) 1x Fire Dragon (1pt) For a Total of 25 points. This I shall (hopefully) do before September 15th. That should do me to begin with. Trying to ease back into the hobby and don't want to burn myself out yet. I'll get a pic up once they are assembled. I wasn't sure I was going in the event this year, so hadn't got that far. Not sure if I will hit up the other Strongholds like I usually do or just try to focus on a non-Imperium force for once. EDIT: FIRST BEFORE PICS ADDED IN SPOILER TAG -
Well I am not dead. Been out of the loop for a bit trying to regain my hobby mojo. Trying to start back small but something that will pick me back up a bit before the Call to Arms starts. So on that note, vowing something that won't be eligible for that; I, Brother Argent, vow to try to rekindle my passion for this hobby and all it means to me by completing 1x Tau Battlesuit Commander and accompaning Drones by the End of June. I'll get a before pic up tomorrow. I am also hoping to get the previous ten Tau Pathfinders finished at some point, just need to base them and maybe wack on a few transfers. But, Commander first.

Well... Its been an interesting time. Been rather burnt out hobbywise and very time poor. That, of course, hasn't stopped me gaining a whole lot of hobby, unfortunately. After my failure of the March for March as well as an impulse buy and a model of the Month things... haven't really worked in my favour. So... Feb to May report: Models complete: (1x Sister Repentia, 1x Arcoflaggelant, 5x Cadian Command Squad, 1x Counts as Castellan, 2x Commisars, 1x Sanctioned Psyker, 2x Field Ordance Batteries, 1x Sentinel), Models Acquired: 12 x Pathfinders and Drones (only to be based) 12x Fire Warrior Breachers, 1x Tau Commander and Drones, 1x Devilfish and Drones, 5x Inquisitorial Henchmen, Slaanesh Minature of the Month x1 Starting Leadweight: 891.7 Leadweight Goal: 864.7 End Leadweight: 917.7 Its going backwards. A lot... Thats not how this is supposed to work... Well, with the Call to Arms coming up I am hping to get back my Hobby Mojo. Not going to push myself as that just leads to burn out (again) but I am going to try to work on re-finding what about this hobby I enjoyed and why I no longer do. So, in the interest of getting things rolling again: The adepts of the Administratum have completed their cogitations and I, Brother Argent, bear a Leadweight of 917.7 upon my mortal soul. I pledge to make every effort to reduce this to 900 by the dawn of July, through the toil of painting. Wish me luck guys. Its going to be an interesting time ahead.

Brother Argent replied to Dr_Ruminahui's topic in + NEWS, RUMORS, AND BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS +
Just when I decide to have a hobby hiatus... In fact I have struggled to have the enthusiams to really paint mauch of anything since this challenge last year. Tried with the March for March but got no where there. Sad thing is all my Tau from that are past the point I could vow them. Still I have plenty of models. Just not sure I have the drive to try this year. See how I go. (We all know I am going to try, and likely fail...) -

Welp.... That final update ran about as well as the rest of the event for me. I want to apologise to those whom took up the March this year. I have been dealing with some things, including total hobby burn out, that have greatly affected my abilities to commit as fully as I needed to to this. I mean I didn't even get a WIP photo of my own up. So I apologise whole heartedly and, if I am back on board this time next year, hopefully next years March will run so much better. Anyway, enough self flagellation, some of you awesome people completed the March and honour is due where it is due. I haven't got an award sorted yet, but hopefully will soon. With everything going on with the awards update with the forum it might be for the best anyway. So, join me all in congratulating this years winners of the March for March: - BobFossil - Deus_Ex_Machina - TheArtilleryMan - gaurdian31 - Grotsmasha So... everyone but me... Didn't realise that.... Well, congratulations to you all. And a huge thank you from me for taking part in my March for March. Maybe next year I'll actually complete the damned thing.... -

As its now well past midnight on the 25th everywhere I am declaring the March for March closed. I'll try and get an even summary up in the next day or so. Given how things have been of recent... that could take a bit... -

Looking good @TheArtilleryman. Those tanks are looking damned sweet. And I agree on pintle mounted weapons. I've always thought they look kinda goofy. I'll hopefully get a WIP of my Pathfinders up tomorrow. I've managed to work out a way to get a bit of use out of my hand so going to do my usual insanity and try and bach through the remainder of the models this week. And in other news I've got the damned cursed shed about as far as I can, so for the moment no more construction related injuries there. Tomorrow will likely be make or break day on if I am going to get this done. I need to get majority of base colours done and sorted or else I will be too far sunk to get it done one time. -

Well that sucks... Seems I'm cursed with this March for March thing. Whilst attempting to build said shed I had a slight accident and, well, one ambulance visit later I am not necessarily up to the painting thing. Cuts and blood thinners don't really mix Only a minor incident but took a slice of my finger with a sheet of steel so holding models isn't the easiest. Luckily only my ring finger and only a centermeter or so across but still rather uncomfortable to hold things. I'll still get as far as I can but thinking the end goal is a bit out of reach. But enough for my comedy of errors, hows everyone else tracking? The deadline is fast approaching and I've seen more life in a graveyard. Hows everyone going? Lets see some WIPs. -

Loving that purple there @Grotsmasha on the cloak. Purple is my favourite colour but I've never been overly good at painting it. And that blue @gaurdian31 is amazing. I haven't even got one squad finished yet so I am highly unlikely to get everything done by the end but I am going to give it a red hot crack. It doesn't help that I got an army that has vast amounts of edge highlighting as that is an area I am trying to improve on. Oh, and that I am also attempting to build a shed at the same time so free time is a premium. Still its not the completion that is everything in the March, its the effort to try. I'll try and get a pic up later but how is everyone else doing? -
This year is just not going to plan for me... I, Brother Argent, vow to complete the ten pathfinders I started last month at sometime this April...

UPDATE #1 Sorry for the delay on this guys. Things have been... interesting. So... A challenge update; With only half as many challengers this year to last (6 this year to last years 12) I'm expecting big things from all of you. As much to make up for my own failings... With my own lack of updating here as well as how quiet things have been (another thing I blame on myself, as I was hoping to keep the life going in the challenge) I have decided to extend the deadline for the challenge. The March will now finish at mifnight on the 25th of April. This addition of just over a week will include the Easter Long Weekend for those that get it so hopefully we will get some last minute completions. For the updates we have had we have seen some beautiful Phobos marines from @Grotsmasha. And with @Deus_Ex_Machina also tackling the First Legion it seems to be the year of the sons of the Lion. Good to see @TheArtilleryman returning this year. Hopefully he can succeed at the Guard where I failed. Nice to see a legacy patrol from @Bob Fossil and I was very close to trying to tackle the modern combat patrol like @gaurdian31. All in all hopefully some promising projects in the works. Hope to see some update and progress pics in the thread soon. With only six lets see if we can get an 100% completion on this years MARCH! -

Apologies everyone. Poor health yesterday and out fire fighting today has meant the update will be somewhat delayed. Keep up the awesome work.
