Brother Argent

Well its Orktober and I just (in July for my brithday) got a snazzy new box with loads of new orks in it so, despite falling horribly behind with the Combat Patrol Magazine I gott go with; I, Brother Argent, vow to complete 1 Ork Warboss from Armageddon by months end.

Right den! Me an' me ladz are itchin' for a right gud scrap. Time to get right 'ard and ded killy. I am Warboss Argent an first ting I am gunna get togeva a Warboss from da biggest scrap der' iz, Da War World. E's first 'cause da boss is always first. Dis I'll do before da' end of Orktober. I won't fail as orks is made for fightin' and winnin' . We nevva loose a fight. Dats for runty snots. WAAAGH!!!!!!!

And Chaplain Outrider complete: I love Chaplains. And Bikes. So this guy was always going to be a winner. As per the usual not 100% happy but he looks sweet from a distance and will lead my Outrider detatchment well... I hope...

Well for once I am happy with a mini and how long it took to paint. One Parasite of Mortex. Only issue I have is the base is glossy for some reason. Not sure why but, eh. I even love the fluff on this guy so I am a happy camper. Now to get the Chaplain done. And now there is an Ork event. its like all my cards are finally falling into place. Look out, ere comes Orktober...

So for now here is a completed solo photo of my Typhus Conversion MoF entry, although I'd have to say its my favourite from the two models I painted. The idea with this guy is he used to be a Chaplain, thus the faded black armour and skull helm. He is the leader of my Angels of Decay.

Well.... Icarus indeed.... But I'm not letting this die yet. I've been painting, just not getting the quality of posts I wanted here. Anyway, lets see what I ca ndo to catch myself back up a bit. Firstly: ICARUS - Winged Tyranid Prime " The Horror of Hive Arkimorr" The beast given the code name the Horror of Hive Arkimorr was first encountered on the world of Eurost. A vanguard organism for Hive Fleet Koleous it was often seen lurking high above the beleagurred Hive Worlds spires. It gained a reputation as an assassin as it seemed to hunt leaders and officers of the Imperial Forces. Emitting a distinct keening cry as it swooped down on its prey from above. Although reported slain on many occasions the beast always seems to return. It was given its moinker during the gruelling siege of Hive Arkimorr where the creature decimated Imperial Command, taking the lives of coutless guard generals as well as the entire command structure of the sororitas mission sent to aid the defence. - Space Marine Captain "Captain Alexius Hecatos" Captain Alexius is the Captain of the Interdictors Ninth Company and the Chapter's Master of Relics. One of the oldest living members of the Chapter Alexius has gained a role of honours long and much heralded in his chapter. Once considered for Chapter Master following the Chapter's internal strife he instead refused and asked to take up the mantle of Captain of the Ninth. Some say this is because the wisened Captain likes to have a hand in shaping the Chapter's newest members as they leave the scout company, but Alexius insists its because he likes to spend time around the Chapters relics that are, he insists, almost as old as he is. Vonn Ryan's Leapers - "The Hungry Shadows" Like all Tyranid Hive Fleets Koleous has adapted to the use of newer bioforms such as the Vonn Ryan's Leapers. Striking in the first wave of any assault these creatures spread chaos and discord as they strike at weak points in Imperial defences. This particular group has been code named the Hungry Shadows by terrified guard defenders. Having a particular skill to strike completely undected the first defenders often knew of their skulking prescence was finding the bloody scythed and eaten apart remains of their victims. Infernus Marines and Sarge - Squad Patriecus - Interdectors 9th Company As the Tyranid threat at the edge of the Aegean Stars became more and more apparent the Interdictors sent a task force alongside Captain Alexius to aid in the defence. Consisting of elements of the Third Company along with squads from Alexius own company the Ninth. Patriecus was one such squad. Led my Sgt Apollo Patriecus the squad was often used as a testing bed for newly inducted marines, serving alongside Patriecus' two long serving brothers Scipio and Marius. The three work to shape their brothers so they may move on to the Battle Companies when the time is right. So I'll call it there tonight, with (alot) more to come in the next week or so to catch thing back up to where I am now Thanks for those whom commented and I hope to not disappoint (any more then I already have)

Well I managed it. Finally. Not the outstanding success I'd hoped for but, for the first time in a long time, I am actually looking forward to hobbying. I had hoped for nearly triple this amount through my vows for the CtA but it was not to be. Still I got my five vows done scross the forums. And to continue on my Hobby Mojo journey I am continuing on with the Combat Patrol Magazine with 1x Parasite of Mortex and 1x Chaplain on Bike I am also hoping to loop back at some point to take care of the other 10 Termagaunts and the Psychophage, but look; drilled barrels for the first time since the early 2000s... Oh and I've started my run into Armageddon, buying the starter set for the unique models there to start off with. So, starting by not starting...

And with this all five stronghold vows are complete: With his earlier friend:

I haven't done anywhere near as much as I'd hoped for the Call but at least I got all my vows complete this year. Had these guys done for a few days but was holding off to upload my Heresy completion too. Anyway, vow complete:

I actually have vows in five strongholds. I've completed my Astartes, Imperium and Chaos ones and am just putting the finishing touches on my Xenos one and paitning the last model of my Heresy one. Hopefully get the last completions up tomorrow. No where near what I wanted to paint, but its better then previous years...

Well last months push didn't work so try again I guess: I, Brother Argent, vow to complete by months end: 10x Termagaunts 5x Barbgaunts 1x Ripper Swarm 1x Necron Cryptek 1x Heresy Space Wolf Charecter Need to get these done quickly and then keep pushing on. May finally even get to start Armageddon this month, though am far behind with the Combat Patrol Magazine... ( Ignore Ahriman as he is done a while ago. I just forgot to get fresh before pics)

Well I'm rather diappointed in myself for my lack of content here but I'll keep pushing. I, Brother Argent, vow for the Month of August to complete: 10x Termagaunts 1x Ripper Swarm 5x Barbgaunts 1x Heresy Space Wolf Guy 1x Necron Cryptek I'll get pictures up soon but yes, I'm trying to finish my first CtA vows. About a month and a half after I intended. (Ignore Ahriman, he's already done)

Well it took a lot longer then hoped but finally got these guys done:

Aaaand that is my first Astartes Vow complete: Well after when I had hoped. But done none the less. Going to try to smash out my Xenos vow, then maybe sneak in a small vow for Astartes and Xenos again. Certainly not getting the speed I had hoped but still have painted more models in the last couple of months then the whole year before hand.
