Interestingly enough this topic has made me reconsider what paint company I'll go with. I'm in the lucky position that I have nothing painted currently so a clean slate (or canvas I suppose), I've always gone with GW paints historically because when I started that was pretty much all my local stores carried. I actually liked the older hex pots too, used them as painting handles Maybe this time I break from GW (Sorry, Warhammer!). Admittedly I won't be able to just nip into a store and grab a couple of pots of paint because my local is a Warhammer store.

Custodes getting a SECOND journal yet the Legions, the major players, are still waiting on an awful lot of stuff. I get it shouldn't be Legions all the time and we did just get MkIV but I want my Grey Slayers...

I think the Battleforces of different armour marks is highly unlikely because of the cost of holding up to 3 more SKUs for pretty much the same thing (unless you'd offer different add-ons), and I say this as someone who really doesn't like the MkVI proliferation, to the point it'll be a couple of squads at most for me as "field test units" as I prefer the older lore. I think the way GW could make the best of it (but wouldn't work for third party, how many people order GW direct?) would be an online bundle: "Pick a Tactical Squad box, upgrade sprue X/Y/Z (Special Weapons, Heavy Weapons, Melee), add a Contemptor and Rhino (or maybe a couple of options, maybe swap Contemptor for another Rhino) and it'll discount for you. Again though, it would only really work for GW direct (although Element Games do bundles for 40K).

Well the good news is there is only really MkV to go now (unless they do release a MkVII for the Siege). But I am hoping we see some of the other stuff rounded out, and perhaps selfishly hoping its for the Legions.

I'm not working for once. C'mon Grey Slayers. Save me buying ALL THE 3D PRINTED AXES (and then shields). Or go nuts and announce Sisters of Silence full refresh (doubt it, I think too close to Custodes overhaul for another full refresh). Will be watching with interest to see what comes up. Khan on Bike (with accompanying journal as I've been informed he doesn't have a bike option anymore) would make me very happy considering I'm not a Scars player.

Test batch of axes for my Grey Slayers came in today. Hands are definitely Primaris sized but I don't think it'll be too noticeable. Seller has already said he can scale them down for future purchases (and even offered when I was asking him about the scale to swap them for me, I won't take him up on that though) so I'll likely ask for a slight reduction in size when I put a decent order in.

Indeed. I think these look more useful as weapons on a flyer with better arcs. I suppose one argument is that the newer style could have greater ammunition stores as can be fed from inside.

This has somehow convinced me to pick up another Maximus box and a melee weapons box. I'll likely never need to buy a normal Sicaran or Contemptor again. Now give me some official Grey Slayers upgrades GW, please?
