  1. Looks great, and as a full army will be able to be proud of
  2. Always loved steel legion. You are doing them justice!
  3. Skin looks great. Keep it going!
  4. Maybe try gluing the bases to the whole sheet, and then using your knife along the base to cut them out a bit closer. Amazing theme. Probably smarter than painting 100 of the same model. Keep it up!
  5. Good start. I always found adding the squad and chapter marks to the shoulders and knees is a relatively small step with a large bang for its buck. The tactical arrow is pretty straightforward and their sharing the fist chapter badge you can for sure find decals or a simple painting guide. You can always practice on your first born. For your headcannon maybe add some bits and bobs in honor of the original third? Maybe black purity seals? I’ve never seen that. Some kind of knee badge? I don’t know.
  6. Sometimes when I’m stuck on something like that I’ll google something like “knight crests” and look at the historical/medieval color combos or what artists have come up with. Will often spark something. Doing that just now for example I was struck by a yellow/teal combo and reminded how blue and white are always solid.
  7. Yeah I ran out of leadbelcher spray as well. Made the mistake of trying to use the dregs of the can and added some great texture to some reaver weapon arms. I’m glad yours are turning out. Always liked your scheme!
  8. Looking good man. I really like the color blend you chose. Now comes the less exciting parts!
  9. Ding ding ding I found a metal tool box to accomplish the same thing but comes with a handle and disguises my nerd shame in public ;)As a bonus it has a metal insert tray as well that is great for accessories or knights.
  10. The ruins look great! I’ve been procrastinating the basing for my Legio as it just feels like a lot of effort at the moment. You can sneak extra depth out of the craters by cutting a hole through the base then gluing some plasticard to the bottom. It adds a bit more variation and justifies using some broken pipes or water effects if you have them.
  11. Little patches of snow melt on your bases would really sell the Alaska camo for me. That said the models look excellent. You have a distinct painting style that is great. I can’t wait to see more
  12. What did you use for the burned out trees? Edit: got too excited to ask the question and forgot to say I love them.
