  1. Some solid sons of The Lion, nice work!
  2. If you don't mind brush painting your vehicles then I can recommend the Army Painter colored metallics (the old line, though I know some of the colours translated over to the fanatic range), Alpha Legion should be easy enough with the blue and turquoise metallics and Tsons with the red, recess shading can be done with Nuln Oil as the newer formula doesn't knock metallics back as much as the old.
  3. Photo dump of most of the current WIP. Black Templar Crusader squad Black Templar Devastator squad Iron Warriors Legionnaire squad (with White Star Sternguard in the background) Iron Warriors cannon fodder (Plague Marines) White Stars Redemptor White Stars Terminator Captain Black Templar Terminator Marshal Heresy Dawnbreaker Cohort More to come.
  4. Well, after my last post I kinda fell off the hobby for a spell. Still haven't finished the Gladiator as I just seemed to hit a wall with it. However I have recently picked up a brush again and am currently bouncing between projects old and new. More sons of the Lion incoming along with some kitbashed Dawnbreakers for the Heresy. The kitbashed Sternguard are nearly done along with a Redemptor and new Terminator Captain. A second Terminator Captain has accidentally revived my Firstborn Templars and I may actually finish the whole project. Finally after sorting out my Heresy army I ended up with a lot of old MK3 and MK4 marines with nothing to do, so they're now going the way of Chaos as an Iron Warriors strike force. I'll sort some pics out over the next few days for judgement. But I think it's safe to say that I'm back on the horse.
  5. Good to see a log that's been around as long as mine Can clearly see the progress you've made since it's inception, with Konrad being a crowning glory.
  6. Having spent a few days going through this thread I can honestly say your name is fitting Amazing progression and sublimely chaotic work.
  7. Been working on some non 40k stuff of late, which is why there's been no updates. However today I got bored and decided I fancied some good old fashioned kitbashing, so I present my new unit of Sternguard*. *Better pics once they're painted I promise.
  8. Nice! Actually inspired me to consider using my excess heresy marines for an Iron Warriors warband So, yet another project I'll probably never finish
  9. Lovely work overall, particularly impressed with Ventris' face as I really dislike the studio paint job and was blaming the sculpt, but looking at yours shows it's the paint job after all.
  10. Got distracted, again. Still working on the Dark Angels, just hit a bit of burnout with them. But I have picked up a brush recently to continue with another project, for which I actually have something to show. First half of Tactical squad Gadrael and Captain Sandalphon. Second half of squad Gadrael is underway along with Veteran Tactical Squad Causiel. I'll try to get back to posting more regularly, as long as I don't lose focus again
  11. I am still working on stuff, I promise. Hopefully have a big update soon. In the meantime here is something that proved a brief distraction from the 1st.
  12. Gladiator has gone through the ritual 5+ hours of edge highlighting and got some more base coats done. Also finished basing, decals* and got the satin varnish on my heresy testers, little bit too shiny on the Mk6 guys arm where I caught it a bit close. I'll fix that with some brush on varnish later. *I'm using 40k decals as I prefer the design, plus I'm not forking out £20+ for a bleeding decal sheet when I've got loads that are perfectly fine.
  13. Another bout of insomnia, another burst of activity. Got the basecoat, first highlight and dark lining done on the Gladiator. Here's where she currently stands. Also fixed the eyes on the Lieutenant with the MkIII helm but can't be bothered to go and grab him for a pic so it'll keep until I start the decals. Also, over 100k views.....wow!
  14. That Basilisk is looking very much like a Dicker Max Definitely keeping an eye on this one, nice work!
  15. Followers of the corpse god engaging in corruption that Slaanesh would be jealous of going on here! Looking good so far.
