  1. Thank you! Excellent feedback! I was already thinking I had invested too much in force multipliers vs just dudes. I'm not entirely sure the Delegatus is vital since the RoW isn't that vital if I take a tac squad. So I can maybe bring a Warmonger or some other niche HQ. Generally want to keep the max Interemptors, because they aren't too durable so numbers should help. Maybe a Contemptor (or -Cortus) with chainfist and grav? They seem potent in ZM. With a Warmonger I can deep strike in the Terminators, so I can put in a Nuncio-Vox for scatter on the Tac squad. That seem viable or is deep striking too risky?
  2. HQ: Praetor AA, IH, Terranic GS, PotL Primus Medicae Cataphratii, Calabanite Warblade Elites: Apothecary w/ AA (10) Interemptors 2x Incinerators Troops: (6) ICK Cenobium 3x TH, 3x Terranic GS, Hunter of Beasts First real foray into ZM, loving the DA models and this gets me almost all the ones I want. Praetor and Apoth joins the Interemptors, PM goes with ICKs. The idea was to make them more durable. Few vehicles expected, so I aim the THs at any dreads that come my way. Thoughts? Any obvious issues I'm missing? Help is appreciated!
  3. Hobby question for y'all - the new flying stands from the Primaris dudes. How well do those work with Assault Marines? I was thinking of using them for my Night Raptors, but didn't want to invest if they looked bad.
  4. What interests you/how do you like to play/is there anything that puts you off or you really like? Im open to anything really. Anything that sounds "fluffy" for NL Curze. :D
  5. You are bad and should feel bad! :D
  6. Considering taking the plunge here because an elite, small-number army with a few vehicles sounds fun to paint. Also, they are "good guys" - which I could use since my primary are Night Lords. Here was my jumping off point: HQ: Tribune Praesidium Shield, Digital Lasers, Cyber-Familiar, Paragon Spear, Arae-Shrikes [277] Elites: (4) Hetaeron Guard 2x Paragon Blades, 1x Solerite Gauntlet, 3x Shields, Magisterium vexilla & Sentinel Warblade, Arae-Shrikes Coronus Grav-carrier Armored Ceramite [528] Troops: (3) Sentinel Guard Squad (Tribune) Solerite Gauntlet Coronus Grav-Carrier [350] x3 Fast Attack: (3) Agamatus Jetbike Squadron Corvae Las-Pulsar [250] (3) Agamatus Jetbike Squadron Corvae Las-Pulsar [250] Heavy: Caladius Grav-Tank Armored Ceramite [215] x3 [3000] I know it isn't exciting or all that interesting... but it is all the stuff from them I like. I have just shy of 15 bodies - so modelling wise I can put some time into each. Though yes, a bit spammy. :/ Any thoughts?
  7. Not sure the Arae-Shrikes apply if they are in transports, so that is a slight blessing, as their transports seem like a no-brainer. Though if they go footslogging or Deep Striking, it can prove an issue. Though we can get just outside it and pump Volkite into a squad, as you said, because volume of firepower is a solid strategy to force 1's. Really, I think that is the overall easiest way for us to kill them - drown them in wounds. TfM should really help that.
  8. So, sounds like Termies in a pod are a good compromise? :D
  9. That is what I got out of it. :D
  10. Max squad with Vexilla, 4-5 Combis and AA in a Pod? That seem about right?
  11. Glad to help out a fellow Night Lord player. :)
  12. I just ordered a slew of bits from KF Studio and some MCM Spiked Vet shoulderpads. On top of that, I will be shortly ordering Night Raptors and Terror Squads for variety too! Winged helmets for Sergeants, trophies for Terror Squad dudes, and all that. Really excited to start building my DAV list... not so happy about the 45 Assault Marines I got to buy.
  13. http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/330425-3000-night-lords-terror-assault/ How about that? I saw that list. My group usually plays at 2500 so if need to cut it. I guess I have a few questions. How important are the pods on the Terror squads? I feel like you're paying for Infiltrate so it's a bit of a waste to not use it. Are you worried about having a quarter of your list in reserve with no manipulation? The newest version with the Grav Cortus fixes that a little but that list needs an awful lot from the fliers. Not really sweating it, honestly. Coming in on a 3+ on T2 means I likely will get most things (33% chance of failure). Keeping some stuff back also isn't always a disadvantage. Like having two Terror Squads show up later means they are shooting at units that have had their transports blown up by my first wave, so they get the most bang for their buck out of their Volkites. The only thing I wish I could more reliably get in is the Xiphon, just to make sure I have a way to swat down enemy flyers quickly, before they do too much damage. That being said, coming in after the opponent isn't always a drawback there either, as I can come in and shoot him and not having him come in and shoot me. And Infiltrate is good, especially with our cover perks, but I can't help but think about them being out in the open close to the enemy and just getting swept away before I can do much (or anything) with them, whereas with the Pods I kind of dictate the rhythm of the battle a bit more... if that makes sense.

  15. Just Knight. Sorry... pedant. Can't help it. Also, lol to the phrase "D Spear". That made me chortle.
