Doghouse reacted to a post in a topic: Saturnine during Great Crusade

Quick question, as I am eyeing the Saturnine box set due to how cheap it is going for online. How common was the Saturnine terminator and Saturnine dreadnought during the early great crusade. I always want to do a small warhound force and wondering if the box is era appropriate. Thank you and take care.

The Sons of Ubiquity. Interesting name. So they are everywhere. Wait a sec, its the Alpha Legion as a chapter. Ubiquity: in its simplest form, refers to the state of being everywhere, or the quality of being widespread and present in many places simultaneously. It implies a sense of omnipresence or pervasive existence. In essence, it describes the condition of something being found in a great many locations, often at the same time.

At this moment the box set is currently on average 267.75 USD on ebay. If this is anything like how AOS Dominion and skaventide goes, we should see a 30% to 40% asking price in a few months if this does not sell well. The age of darkness box did hold it value on the second hand market very well. -

Disagree. People are tired of poor quality control, multiple mistakes, and a company that constantly lies to there customers. Malice or incomptience does not matter, we got the same results. Remember when they said " we are not doing drastic changes". Look at these not so drastic changes. I fear what a big change would look like. If this is anything like how HH 2.0 went, we got a few errata, then a reboot. -

Are we not tired of day one errata? Are we not tired of three year release cycle? Are we not tired of choices being taken away? Are we tired of poorly written rules? I think the community is just tired of this treadmill. -

People wonder why I just paint models, and just don't play GW games anymore. Good luck to those that stay. My group have mostly moved on when 2nd edition HH was released, now it looks like a complete rout for those remaining. -
That should work. Thank you and take care. Kizzdougs tutorial is great. I need to find a replacement for the Age Rust weathering powder from forgeworld. This look close ish (maybe need to be more redder) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08TG3VT64/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_3?smid=A2PSGQR84QVBG5&psc=1

I am looking at starting a new project, and wondering if anyone has a good tutorial for a mars red desert bases that fit the starter team team box (see attached pictures). Thank you and take care. 23612-PMKBB-Kill-Team-Starter-Set-2024-Edition.webp

Thank you for the post. I could change out one off the warrior with bolt pistol / blade for a bolter. Gives some variety and would help the project out.

New Edition, or Just Horus Hearsay?

With how well 2nd edition went, and what is being revealed for 3rd edition, my group is basically staying with 1st edition of Horus Heresy or using our models for other games. These changes do not look like fun, and add alot of bloat to the system. If I wanted a more crunchier game, my group just goes play battletech. -

After the release on the Horus Hearsay site (which was a slap in the face for HH fans), I am happy the box set got revealed in this manner. Now, onto the pictures that was revealed, I am not impressed. MK II is my favorite mark, and are the only unit I like at first glance. The rest does not look stellar. Let see what happens when we got clearer pictures. -

At the moment trying to figure out what chapter to paint up a small primaris kill team project. I love the badab war lore, and was considering painting them up as Marines Errant. Reviewing there lore, it seems like we have no update of thier status after the fall of Vilamus. Did they get primaris marines? Are they still kicking in current era of 40k?
-
Excellent point, and probably the reason why this is happening. Quick side note, daemons can be used in four systems: 40k, AOS, HH, and now The old world (base convertor and movement trays are great). This is one of the reason why I own a large amount of chaos Daemons (also they are fun to paint and neat).
