Uprising

I started the hobby when 4th ed was rolling over to 5th edition. I been hearing alot lately about many hobbyist, including those in my group thinking of moving back to 3rd/3.5 edition. What is the appeal? What was the drawback of the edition? How big where the armies model wise / point wise on average? I have a few codexes and the rulebook from the era, and it seems simple, yet highly customizable narrative game. Thoughts?

Thank goodness Acheran is dead. I hated that character so much in the story, that its a common joke in my friend group to this day. RIP Charion on the other hand. He was a great, pouring one out for him.

A bit of a thread necromancy, but I had many since I last posted ask how it going, so they deserved an update. Below is the current state of the hobby room. Compared to the original pictures, I got all new cabinets and desks. This has greatly reduced my storage space, but has open up the room greatly and looks better. I cleared out the closet and placed lighting, four new cabinets, and a bit more storage. The 3d printing area was moved out to a newly build shed on the property. I have a few more small touches to complete (hanging pictures, going through paints, cable management, etc). I did some major downsizing and reorganized all armies into containers and place then on the last remaining shelves. I sold many armies (7 or 8 in total), and small projects due to time. Buying has reduced drastically, and no new army has been purchased since last year except for one (Grand Cathay). Overall, after Adepticon 2025, I been playing more games (1 to 3 times a week), and started picking up the brush more often. The next project is to continue selling off projects (getting down to 2 or 3 armies per system), sell off my black library collection, continue painting, and go to more events. Looking at there old conversion chart, it looks like Matt White would work. Is this correct I wonder?

My spray can of Games Workshop Citadel Corax White Spray Paintis is running low. I do not want to pay the going price of $50+ for a can of spray paint as it is discountinued. Does anyone have a similar white spray can that works well? I am using it for basecoats. Thank you and take care.

First, I want to say thank everyone for there comments and answering my question. Seems like everything is era current within the box (except for the turrent imho). Since we are here. If you had to make a war Hound theme force out of the Saturine box, what loadout would you build the box out? Thinking maybe making a small zone mortalis force out of it.

Quick question, as I am eyeing the Saturnine box set due to how cheap it is going for online. How common was the Saturnine terminator and Saturnine dreadnought during the early great crusade. I always want to do a small warhound force and wondering if the box is era appropriate. Thank you and take care.

Ubiquity: in its simplest form, refers to the state of being everywhere, or the quality of being widespread and present in many places simultaneously. It implies a sense of omnipresence or pervasive existence. In essence, it describes the condition of something being found in a great many locations, often at the same time.

At this moment the box set is currently on average 267.75 USD on ebay. If this is anything like how AOS Dominion and skaventide goes, we should see a 30% to 40% asking price in a few months if this does not sell well. The age of darkness box did hold it value on the second hand market very well.
