  1. So, I have been wondering lately what other hobby groups are looking like and if any new blood is getting into the hobby. If everyone could be so kind as to answer some basic questions, I would appreciate it. 1. How many regular people play war games in your group? 2. How long have you been in the hobby? 3. Is your group growing? 4. What games does your group play? 5. How often do people leave your group? How often do new people come into your group? 6. Age Range of oldest player? 7. Age Range of Youngest Player? 8. Average age of player? 9. Where do you play regularly (Ex: Hobby store, friend's house, rented out space, tournament, etc)? 10. Do you think the hobby is growing or dying? Please explain why.
  2. I have about 20 breachers and was thinking of using them for a small project of the World Eater crew defending the Conqueror with a few World Eaters from the Triarii companies. Is it lore-accurate to use Imperial Navy Breachers (removing the Aquila / other symbols) as the base for these models? Does anyone have any other ideas? Thoughts are welcome.
  3. Mission Objective: Complete a fluffy half-company strike force of lamenters for 2024 army on parade While remodeling the hobby room and in the process of downsizing my collection, I came across four old projects: Badab War Lamenters, HH Blood Angel, Space Hulk, and four FW zone Mortalis tiles. The Badab war is my favorite 40k lore (I have an Astral Claw force, and Mantis warrior forces aswell), and I have decided to finish my half-company strike force of Lamenters of first-born Marines only for the 2024 project. I do plan to sell off the HH Blood angel/reabsorb them into other HH armies after I take some bitz for the project. I included some finished marines from 3 yrs ago (Follow The Brush and Boltgun tutorial), but have improved greatly. This force will include old metal characters, forge world bits, and conversions. I no longer play Warhammer, so suggest a squad loadout you think would fit the theme and look cool. Here is an outline for the force that is based around boarding action (I will be 3d printing zone mortalis bases). Here is the force outline Hq 1 Termi Captain 1 Termi Librarian 1 Termi Chaplain 1 Master of the Forge 1 Librarian in Power armour 1 Death Company Chaplain Elites 10 Space Hulk Termi 10 Death Company (open to load out suggestions, melee based) 2 dreadnoughts (1 venerable, 1 AOBR dread) Please recommend a loadout Troops 30 Tactical Fast Attack 10 Assualt Marines 9 drop pods Heavy support 10 Devastator (2 Missile Launcher, 2 lascannon) I have a total of 9 drop pods, so I would like to have one more unit. Thinking of a contempor dreadnought, another box dread (I have a lot), or a shotgun scout squad. What would you recommend, as long as it is not a jump pack unit (does not fit the theme), tank, or a tactical/dev squad (half company)? Any questions please ask, take care. Edit reason: Sorry for the terrible pictures, my picture setup is currently under construction.
  4. Well, looks like I am buying five Tyranids box sets for next year's project. Better get the printer running and make five more Hive tyrant torsos for ten tyrants in total.
  5. Look up Tyranid hive tyrant torso on esty or eBay. Thier also a lot of stl prints on the internet if you have a 3d printer. Cost you around $10.
  6. I collect a lot, and I mean a lot of Weta King Kong figures. They are great and high quality but expansive.
  7. With the new release of Tyranids model after so long, let's look at our most customizable unit: The Tyranid warriors. How does everyone use them in 10th? Do you use them? What loadout does everyone for their range version or combat version? Which fleet is best for our Warriors? Do you use a warrior prime in your list, and how do you equip them?
  8. I am probably going to use Imperial Armor 13 as the base. One of my fav books. So glad I bought the books back in the day.
  9. I am a bit torn here. I have a CSM army with alot of Daemon engines (I have multiple of every unit, I can even use my two beloved brass scorpions), and I mostly play the Horus Heresy. I even have a dark Mech army but my group is so tired of the treatment of HH 2.0 and the Imperial Fists in general. My group has about 30 people playing the game, and will only play HH 1.0 now or other games (Turnip28 has been the go-to now). Guess I will have to convert these rules to 1.0 this weekend.
  10. I just want Breacher marines and other troops (besides tactical) in plastic. Am I the only one? Tired of GW mismanagement of Horus Heresy.
  11. Nids are my first army from way back in 4th when I got into the hobby. This release is basically perfect. Good job GW, take this win.
  12. This has to be one of the most tone deaf descion GW has made except for the recent contemptor dreadnought hull only being released. So happy I have a 3d printer.
