  3. That's pretty brutal. It's very tough for them to screen/zone due to the range on Aggressors, though be aware that they may try to bait you with other units prior to the big one coming in.

  7. Looks like GW just dropped the hammer on late game DP shenanigans. I'm glad noone here was planning to utilize this devious but uncharacterful tactic :)

I understand we each approach the game in our own way, but this thread isn't about how we feel about "player types" etc. That being said, there's some good conversation about the FAQ in here so keep the constructive discussion/feedback going. Remember, GW is about player experience more than ever so reaching out to them for clarification is a great solution when stuff like this comes up.
  9. Seconded. One of the keys with new SM in general is recognizing that Shock Assault gives us a valuable tool in terms of stacking damage since we get an obvious advantage when playing close-in/aggressive. If you can get said unit to optimal range for the round of shooting then follow up with a solid bit of melee potential, I think that's really the key to maximizing the insane price tag of SM units. Role-focused play is for Eldar and Tau; Marines have to do it all! :D
  10. Hmm, does the return of the DP make the FC more viable again? It seems like maximizing its early-game potential could be just the ticket.
  11. I'm a bit rusty on my IK. Why is Hawkshroud so great for a unit that doesn't care much about scaling BS (ie. the flamer autohits)?

  13. I think this may be a saving grace for DW builds since we still have some of the best elite traditional power armour units, and so can really fill out a DP for maximum killyness. Being immune to "response" Stratagems/Abilities will help too!
