Models I'd like to share, not all of which are my personal handiwork. (My childhood friend is a very talented amateur painter who does commissions; for me he does them for beer.)
  2. The innuendo-laden posts have been laid to rest (via melta bombs). This thread's already a necro but it's one people like, so let's just...keep it on topic and veer clear of some of the more family-unfriendly topics we were flirting with up there. <3 As you were.
  3. The boob-plates are a bit over-the-top on that one, and she's pretty waify for a woman that constantly fights, works out, and is currently wearing armor, haha. I dig the colors and the angular look to the pic otherwise.
  4. I don't want a "boob plate" per se, but I do want the proportions to be a bit different; slightly more slender maybe (as it is in that picture) than it is on the rank-and-file terminators. (Remember when Thade dubbed the aged veteran marines with Terminator Honours as "rank-and-file"?) It's more to make her stand out as distinctive than anything; well, that and when I try seating the single bare Sisters plastic head onto a GK Terminator body it looks unforgivably weird.
  5. Seriously, if you figure out a good way to do this, please share it on here. I've been trying to piece together a conversion I can live with for like two years now and I fail and fail and fail. :(
  6. Female Inquisitor in TDA. Win.
  7. I have precisely NO influence over this...that's all Administratum. BUT consider my signature on the petition, as it were. A sub would be awesome. I would happily sign up for a $1/month contribution. I bet many would. $12 a year for the B&C is like the cost of a brew for a buddy and me...a brilliant pair of brews that last all year long.
  8. We'll begin preparations for your dreadnought interment immediately, Brother Argos. To get started, drink this goo.... You deserve a break more than anybody else here. You've held the best Warhammer site on the Internet upon your shoulders for so long, nobody deserves to enjoy the B&C more than you. I hope you won't be a stranger. <3
  9. Heretics and Loyalists agree on one point and one point only. Xenos are dumb. Stick to Power Armor. <3
  10. As a Yankee I admit I'm confused. I've never heard "DAY-tah" pronounced any way other than the right way or the wrong way ("DAH-TAH"). I suppose I can allow various pronunciations of the Emperor's most Holy Title. I mean, at least it means you're thinking of him, which is better than not. *grip on chainsword tightens*
  11. Okay, I'll bite. How does one pronounce "EM-purr-rurr!" ? In the videogames I've noticed at times they hit it like "EMprah" which kind of makes me twitch. I do invoke the Big E's name multiple times in any given game. Usually when I roll dice. "For the Emperor!" "In the Emperor's name!" "By my fury shall you know the Emperor's name!" (rolls all 1s) "...Next time!" "The Emperor protects!" ++ EDIT. "video"games t++
  12. That first image...she's not wearing power armor, so she's not a Sister. <3 I really, really, really do not want this particular thread to devolve into a discussion about Sisters and Slaanesh. (I say that and then I can't help myself.) Suffice it to say, the Sisters are a singular, mostly respectful representation of women in the 40k genre. Full (realistic) armor, motivated and dangerous warriors, they're really quite cool. One can make the case that they're still host to some (serious) representational issues, e.g. the Ms. vs. Mr. Pac*man* /Male is the Norm trope, but Sisters are still a step in the right direction. They are their own army and the only non-Astartes force that brings legit Power Armor and Bolt weapons to the party, both of which are canonical Imperium in my mind. Slaanesh doesn't necessarily equate with sexualization, but when applied in fanfic and fan-art in practice - especially with regard to Sisters - I've found that it often does. Best case, it's easy and it's trite. Worst case, it's overtly oppressive. It really grinds my gears. :\ That said, her face was quite skillfully done, and the outfit wasn't that offensive; it's just obviously not a Sister, because power armor has an upper chestplate to go with those pauldrons. <3
  13. That is a sad label you assign to the mighty arm of the Ecclesiarchy, my friend. There. That's better.
