Captain Juan Juarez's Achievements

  1. I'm not dead, just absent.
  2. ....I came to the board for the first time in over a year.
  3. Still nothing.. But I have taken to looking occasionally at the three IG squad boxes I have and will never use, possibly out of a sense of guilt but most like a case of "how can I get rid of the clutter".
  4. Today.. I did nothing related to the hobby, as in the preceding many days.
  5. PURGE WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE AND THEN SOME MORE PREJUDICE FOR GOOD MEASURE. Now I know we all, from time to time, trot out that line about it being "your" hobby - or whoever - and people should do what they want to but no. Just no. With a capital "I'll burn you at the stake".
  6. I see what you did there Looking good; really like what you've achieved with the deep red and those metallics are rather good. Bravo, sirrah.
  7. Today.. I put the nail in the coffin of my hobby revival, aided by mango-flavoured vodka.
  8. Today... Added a Grenade Launcher and Heavy Flamer to my First Decima - Heavy Flamers are awkward to align correctly when you have the manual dexterity of a chimp without any limbs. Also, because I haven't taken a chance to write in ages, I took the time to begin a fictitious (obviously) AAR for my regiment.
  9. Actually posting on the day for a change! Today First Maniple, Second Cohort, of the Third Cheme Legion greeted its assembled Command Squad. Also from First Maniple, First Decima received its finished commanding Corporal and Decima Medic. It is both incredibly difficult but also very cathartic being able to assemble squads without worrying about the legality of their equipment!
  10. (Yester-)Today I built 3/5ths of a Maniple Command Squad for my Third Cheme Legion (Guard Regiment) - including one not incredibly well-thought out Vox-Officer pose that thankfully didn't go entirely wrong.
  11. Today... I will receive my new boxes of Cadians, ready to begin my foray in to the Guard. It's "pee-my-pants" exciting!
  12. Today I may have had a "squee" moment after ordering my first boxes of Cadian troops for a new project; talking to people about it is ramping the excitement up a lot.
  13. Today and for many days since and hence I have been struggling to find a reason not to start modelling and possibly painting again. The more I see amazing works both 30k and 40k on the B&C the more it makes me want to build some of my own once more but I have this horrible aversion to painting because I suck at it. I tell myself I can take a month on one Marine if that's what it takes but still.. There's this nagging doubt. *exploding brain*
