  1. I would love if Russ came back and HE'S the wise, enlightened Gandalf figure, the senior statesmen of the other two brothers. Roboute was frozen, the Lion was sleeping, Leman was wandering, surviving, adventuring.
  2. Thanks for the clarification, dude. We're just a little stir crazy, we have no idea what we might be getting so any rumours at all makes us jittery.
  3. They might just keep selling Stormrider and Logan. I can see them just dropping the new Logan sprue in Stormrider boxes and jacking the price, lol.
  4. Valrak let slip we're allegedly getting a new Logan Grimnar. This on top of his "Russ is closing out the edition' chanting.
  5. this is just an example of how hard it is to do tandem marketing with a video game and GW products. Darktide would have loved this, like, last year.
  6. No. The Space Wolves pack and Wolfguard Terminator are entirely Space Wolves centric kits and re-used no codex models. The Pack was 2 unique sprues that let you build 5 Space Wolves in power armour with plenty of left over bits to mix and match with other kits. You could use it build Grey Hunters with bolters, blood claws with pistol/chainsword, or use all the special melee weapons (lightning claws, thunder hammer, etc) to build some Wolf Guard in power armour. The Wolf Guard Terminators is the same idea - 3 Wolfy sprues that let you build 5 Wolfy Terminators with different loadouts. You could kit 5 with with fist/stormbolter or th/ss or dual claws, your choice.
  7. This is such a great line that embodies 40k fandom in a nutshell.
  8. The 5th edition relaunch of Space Wolves was just two kits (the Space Wolves pack kit and the Wolf guard Terminators) and character models that included Njal, Lukas, and Canis. Everyone was happy. DA only got two infantry kits, too. There was a second wave that finally provided models for Thunderwolves, Fenrisian Wolves, and Arjac. But they just existed as rules to start. That took a couple years, it felt like. There won't be new Thundercav. GW took all the old ones out of the case for new photography recently alongside all the Primaris minis. Notable models left behind: Canis, Harald, Arjac, Njal.
  9. It's more because they want the video games showcasing their miniatures rather than miniatures showcasing video games. They'd prefer character designs be very archetypal and analogues to their miniatures. Plus trying to line up miniature production & video game production windows is a massive challenge.
  10. GW's identity is a miniature company first and everything else is secondary. They've proudly proclaimed this on numerous occasions. Make the best miniatures until the end of time I don't distinguish the collecting aspect with them being a miniature company m they go hand in hand.
  11. GW makes a lot of cool thematic and weird minis and the downside of that is there is only so much shelf/manufacuter/warehouse resources, only so many pages to a codex/battletome, only so much time in the day for designers to maintain rules. Mechanicum and Custodes armies were pipe dreams, Squats coming back was basically an April fools jokes for two decades. People lived in fear of Sister and Templars getting 'squatted.' so to continue to make cool stuff, some stuff has to go on cooldown and get rotated out.
  12. With all the new kits it's pretty easy to build a thematic Dark Angels lieutenant at this point, robes and all. Buying an extra box of Inner Circle companions to make a couple characters to with sounds like something I'd do if I collected Dark Angels.
  13. Alternative rulesets to have fun with your friends with like... Legends?
