  1. when I was working at Relic, GW sent us all those limited edition kitbashes for reference and i basically mangled all of them trying to do customizations and kitbashes. And then, needing to declutter my desk years later... I threw them out. would make collectors cry tears of blood.
  2. This looks like an intentional desire to have more of a bucket shaped helm that wraps around the helmet rather than flare out. the flared out wings would probably rub against the raised pauldron on the shoulder pad so they adjusted the design. in any case, if its not to you taste, there's plenty of similar heads in the Victrix Guard box that have the flared wings that you can go and glue a broom on to.
  3. While glancing through wiki's to try and see how old Cassius and Calgar were, lol, noticed this: From Lexicanum, citing 5th Edition Space Marine Codex: "Cassius is also the only warrior of the Ultramarines permitted to call Marneus Calgar "young Calgar" From the 8th edition Space Wolves codex: "Despite the fact that Logan is one of the longest serving Ulrik calls him 'young Grimnar'. maybe one of them can stand be retconned lol.
  4. Tbh if you're making Honor Guard characters, Sanguinary Guard need 3. With wings. A big banner guy, some other sort of specialist, and a Champion character. Would help it a lot if the updated kit became Sanguinary Guard redshirts surrounding Sanguinary Guard Sr.
  5. Headtakers: look what the smurfs need to mimic a fraction of our power
  6. Thinking of Exodites as Amish Eldad suggests that the Exodites build barns.
  7. Also I suspect now that they have multipart outriders, multipart Ravenwing is around the corner.
  8. I like a nice multipart kit over pushfit, I like GW didn't try to give it top billing because technically it's just replacing a kit that already exists with marginal improvements. Happy to see some power weapons, conspiring how I can maybe turn them into Swiftclaws with the Blood Claws slimmed down armour...
  9. There's really very little in John's for a miniature designer to chew on. One is specifically for production and John's is an art piece - style and vibes where it's hard to discern anything besides silhouette.
  10. Relieved they don't just look like Wood Elves on dinosaurs. Eldar technology like long rifles and power swords lends itself really well to supply drops and maintenance, there's no reason exodites wouldn't have access to that anymore than a wild west homesteader wouldn't have access to a hunting rifle.
  11. Feels like that's a down the road thing. They're just wrapping up a ton of housekeeping, moving the main building blocks to plastic. The backbone of the setting is all there now. I wonder if they do upgrade sprues or continue to do resin kits. I can't imagine them starting to move Legion specific squads like Firedrakes or Deathsworn move to plastic?
  12. They're so radically different looking I never noticed. *Shrugs*
