  1. Honestly, after seeing this bad boy I pray to the Gods the Leagues get some sort of kickass Dark Age Proto’naught walker.
  2. YE GODS. The Teeth are looking gorgeous! I love how nasty, wrinkled and discolored you painted the Champion's bare head, gives me big Palpatine vibes and it provides a lovely contrast to the bright and mostly-clean colours of his armour. The level of detail with all the little nicks and scratch marks is fantastic btw, it shows that while the Teeth might not usually get close enough to be splattered head-to-toe in gore like their fellows they're by no means afraid to put themselves in harm's way and get their hands dirty. The bases are also excellently done, the half-buried skulls and spent shells in the sand are a lovely extra detail. The new WIP Berzerker Champion is looking sick! I take it the base is the Chaos Lord from the Blackstone Fortress set, right? The cape and back banner add a nice sense of motion to an otherwise fairly static pose, and really you can never go wrong with those sweet helms from the FW Zerker kit. The old school power fist is a great addition, as I mentioned previously, I really enjoy your mixing of parts both old and new to build unique-looking marines, although I would advocate adding a thumb to the fist just because the lack thereof looks very peculiar, especially when paired with the claw. In regards to the weapon options, I much prefer the visual of the Chainsword & Fist combo, it looks like he's perhaps ordering his squad forward or bellowing a challenge to some hapless git who's caught his attention, but either way he's looking super promising and I can't wait to see more of him!
  3. Thanks! It's good to be back. I'm sorry to hear you've been having such a rough time of it though brother, hope your condition starts to improve soon. As to why I changed the name, well I've been heavily involved in a Alt Heresy project (The Broken Throne AU, over in the Special Projects section) for the past several years and since I haven't actually touched anything to do with Blood Angels in a long, long time I felt like representing my Alt Heresy creation a bit more by using the name of my DIY Primarch instead, and as for being recognized I did leave a note acknowledging my old title in my signature, though I admit it is rather easy to miss... EDIT: Also! I almost forget to mention how much I love, love, love those gorgeous Zerkers you finished recently! As I said before, your kitbash-fu is unrivaled. I particularly adore those kick-ass Chain-Khopeshes, which despite their usual association with the Witches of Tzeentch, are very appropriate for the chosen of Khorne given it's origin as a hybrid design between an axe and sword. I think my favourite members of the squads are the two Champions Mr Fist and the mutated Lord Two-Shanks, as well as the standard Zerker with the Khopesh, Axe nd the classic T-visor helm, but Blood God knows they're all so characterful and dynamic.
  4. You're welcome brother, glad my tomfoolery could give you a chuckle. And yes, I have posted here before though I have been absent for a quite a while, plus I went by SanguiniusReborn way back then. That was around the time when you were doing your Night Lords and Imperial Fists, perhaps you still remember old Erhard Zeikfried, Sergeant of IXth Devastator? Or Brother Rüdiger Hoss of VIIth Bike Squad?
  5. Humorous typos aside, GREAT KHORNE'S BRASS NACKERS those Teeth* are brutally beautiful! I always love the mix of the new and classic bitz you use for your conversions. My favorite out of the squad definitely has to be the Champion, that bare FW Zerker head with the toothed maw in the rebreather is such a gorgeous piece and gives such character to the model, combine that with that excellently converted servo-arm and the "Rambo hip fire" pose of the bolter and it makes such an eye-catching model.
  6. And that's exactly the problem, 90% of the Sisters' arsenal is so short-ranged it forces you to rush the enemy to get in range, limiting your options and allowing the enemy to largely predict what you're going to do and take steps to counter it. The whole Holy Trinity is very thematic and highly beloved, but it shouldn't be the be-all and end-all of the Sisters' arsenal. Long range Anti-Armour firepower is something the Sisters have always lacked, it's a tactical void that the Exorcist just isn't really suited to fill and really they're better employed elsewhere, the Castigator is made precisely to fil that gap. Think about it, if your MM Immolators all get immobilised or destroyed before they close the distance to the enemy armour you're in serious trouble, as you'll be stuck waiting for your Melta-toting Infantry to slog it into range, all while at the mercy of incoming enemy fire. Regardless, at the end of the day the Castigator is another tool in the Sisters' box of options, and I think we can all agree more options is never a bad thing.
  7. Flamer duty is the Immolator's hat, the Castigator is meant to fill a long-standing gap in the Sororitas' capabilities, that being long range anti-armour firepower. A Flamer-type weapon, be it HF sponsons or a Baal Pred-style Inferno Cannon would be both redundant, unnecessary and counterintuitive to the Castigator's entire purpose. TL;DR, if you're close enough to use a Flamer, you're doing it wrong.
  8. Personally I've long considered Dorn and his Sons to be amongst the noblest and most admirable of all the Astartes lines, second only to my long-beloved Blood Angels. As such, when I first dipped my toes properly into the mysterious waters of DIY'ing for the Liber Cluster Project I naturally turned to the Praetorian's lineage, and from my efforts (and the invaluable advice of my fellow Fraters) was born the Scarlet Sentinels, my grumpy, star-faring Redcoats! To this day their creation still remains perhaps my proudest hobby accomplishment and I love them dearly.
  9. Huzzah! Ace the Debonair returns to the Glastheim Rifts once more! Long have I waited to see this setting and it's brother Chapters revived and their stories continued! I shall watch this thread with great interest...
  10. Scythes of the emperorNot quite who I was implying but given their schemes are reversals of one another it's an understandable mix-up...
  11. How strange, that yellow renegade's colour scheme looks rather familiar... now where have I seen it before...?
  12. Oof, grumpy they may be, but that talon of ancients makes my Dread-head heart sing!
  13. Looking forward to see what you do with the Paragon IHF, may I be cheeky and pre-emptively suggest the unit name "Iron Maidens", seeing as GW tragically missed their chance to use it?
  14. I like those Missile Pods! The way you mounted them reminds me of the old Mammoth Tanks from the Command & Conquer series. Ah, good times...
