There’s no in person Warhammerfest this year, but I imagine they’ll do some online thing at a similar time. Warhammerfest was where they showed Leviathan last year and they need to show the AoS box somewhere.

Jesus I didn’t realise it was that long between the Dire Wolf announcement and release.

I was in a UK store a couple of weeks ago and they had like a Kratos and 2 predators or something and that was it for Heresy kits. The store wasn’t massive so it’s not like there’s loads of room for all the specialist games kits but I was quite surprised at how little they had (I went in to get the birthday Ethereal and maybe some Assault Marines, and left empty handed).

I really, really like the helmet.

It shouldn’t be too far off hopefully. It’s not like the Solar Auxilia infantry are any cheaper than Marines (well, the MkIII kit anyway).

What’s here is pretty cool, I am a little bit underwhelmed just from how long ago this was teased to the fairly limited final product.

Probably not maliciously and intentionally, though. And it wasn’t even a mistake in this case.

Just checked mine and they’re the same (all black), not that there’s any reason they’d be any different. Bit of a shame, hopefully fixed in the solo boxes.

They are the Nomads vehicle equivalent aren’t they? The other gangs only have 1 specific vehicle too (Delaque don’t even have that).

They don’t look that much different to how they started the day but I started bringing the Wraithbone base coat back after the wash stage on some of them today:

According to the goonhammer review: ’Hibou Khan is an outcast member of the White Scars Kharash. As such he’s really cool for leading a Sagyar Mazan White Scars force. He’s also allowed to be included in a Shattered Legions army but he’s not great for that, as the Kharash rule stops him from joining any of their units.’

Yeah I’m really excited to make my Dark Angels, Iron Hands and Raven Guard shattered legion force ;)

Do we think the chances are pretty good of getting the Aurox in plastic? I figure probably, but I’m a little bit worried that they’ve started teasing Mechanicum already, maybe there isn’t much left for Solar Auxilia.

Yeah I built a sergeant the other day and I used tweezers for the shoulder pads. I half considered just leaving them off. How are people planning to build their infantry for painting? I’m really agonising over it haha. I dunno whether to just fully build them because part of me really can’t be bothered with sub assemblies on infantry like this, but I dunno if I’ll really regret it when I come to paint them. Or whether to leave the arms off. Nice to see the axes for the Velataris Section do actually exist!
