  1. Personally, I think the frosting/scratches adds character to the model (though it's barely noticeable). I would think that these things would happen regularly to the "real thing", so it's a happy happenstance.
  2. Sorry folks, I haven't heard from my source in a while so no dice on this front.
  3. Very, very impressive work. Especially the freehand. :O
  4. We welcome differing opinions on things, certainly. That's what helps make everyone *hopefully* open their perspective to other things. We're not perfect, but neither is any other player that uses the Black Templars. But what I do have is 23 years of experience with the Black Templars, playing well over a thousand high-end non-casual, competitive games against nation-wide opponents in that time span. I know the army inside and out -- it's often why list archetypes I have put out and used over the years becomes the BT meta. I understand how to make the army tick. But with that being said, I fully recognize that there are players who are better at playing the game than I am. I am not the ultimate answer when it comes to BT -- far from it. But for clarification -- The top character's video has some situational selections like the Captain with Witchseeker Bolts because there aren't very many competitive choices in the slot that would make for an interesting video that aren't already widely known, so you have to think outside the box. As for BGV, we didn't talk about them because there wasn't a reason to. No additional buffs (a free pistol isn't one) makes it hard to talk about an unit that we've already delved into previously, unless comparing it to something else. PSB have a different role than BGV, so its not one-to-one there. We compare them, because so many people do -- but it's clear they are not the same and treating them the same will only be a futile exercise and a tragic error in list building. Look at the stats and find the lists containing BGV that are finishing high in tournaments. Then find the lists that use PSB. You will notice something interesting. However, Assault Terminators have the exact same role as BGV and are clearly superior, so that's why we haven't been talking about them. If you don't want to use Assault Terminators, BGV are perfectly serviceable...but they are not the most efficient, competitive choice.
  5. Man. You are a risky one. :D 20 PCS are ultra hard to fit reliably in a 6" circle at the center of the board.
  6. I will wet your parched throats a little bit. Soon.
  7. Ugh. Am I going to be the spoiler again?
  8. I want it noted that I said it was worth testing, not that I guaranteed their success. The only way we're going to know for sure is playing them against the big baddies on the block. With that being said, Thicc City just got massive nerfs today. Crusher Stampede received indirect nerfs with the release of CA22, as the list relied on actions to score their secondaries and now have no good choices. Not to mention Tau eat them alive. So maybe I don't need to adjust for a -1 damage meta anymore. The other thing to note: SB provide bodies, which mean you have more chances to burn those high damage weapons Tau/Aeldari have. Even more worthwhile so if they ignore invulnerable saves. It really sucks to pick up a 5-man BGV squad because one gun shot at it and ignored the invulnerable saves. Something the SB can actually weather, because there are more bodies for the points. Which is why PCS are also good for their points. So like I said in the video, I am going to try them. If it doesn't work, or I don't need them, so be it. That's perfectly fine. ;)
  9. Sword. Devout Push is still ridiculously powerful even with it no longer being able to embark your units.
  10. I did predict that though, considering the blatant lack of a fix for Celestine.
  11. It's apples to oranges. You could not apply the same buffs to those Assault Intercessors as you can now, and those new buffs are definitely superior. But the difference now is...Crusaders are cheaper than assault intercessors and you don't charge them into things you would need fight twice against.
  12. Yep. So much for the BT not being a tournament winning supplement. Kevin beat DG, Drukhari, Admech, Levi Nids, and Custodes.
