  1. I'm in the US and just received issues 15-19, so not too far ahead. As for painting, I'm way behind. Just added these to my 12 Months Challenge: I've got to get my setting sorted out for my iPhone. My desk lamps blow out the highlights pretty badly.
  2. I'd offer to reprint it for you, but my printer has been idle for too long and needs some maintenance. Plus family vacation coming up. Hit me up mid-August or so when I'm back from my travels to Yellowstone and we can work something out. :)

    Necron Army

The Necron army my grandson and I are working on. Plain vanilla Szarekhan / Eternal Expansionists Dynasty.
  4. I've been working through the Imperium magazine with my grandson. He loves both the SMs and the Necrons. So I guess I get to paint both of them for him. Start of the army: Royal Warden: Plasmacyte:
  5. I have 2/3 models vowed completed. I'm running out of time and won't be able to finish the 3rd, so I'm going to call it here for July.Royal Warden: Plasmacyte:
  6. Lame! Very lame. I quit using infill for that particular reason. When using drain holes you always want at least 2. If you have only 1 the vacuum effect won't let the resin drain correctly. Couple that with the additional surface areas that infill creates and you have Admiral Ackbar just waiting to shout "It's a Trap!"... I've done large pieces like dragons w/o infill and not had any issues as long as there are 2 holes (at least!) I use a large 2 oz dropper bottle full of IPA and spray it in one hole to flush it out of the other. I repeat several times in each hole until the IPA runs clear. Going this route I haven't had to rig up a UV light to go up inside.
  7. Quite the monster! I don't recognize the 3D model though. i thought I had every Bloodthirster proxy out there. Which one is that?
  8. I, YoungWolf7, vow to complete the following for the month of July: 1 Necron Plasmacyte 1 Necron Royal Warden 1 Necron Overlord And if I get really into the groove: 3 Necron Skorpekh Destroyers Why the switch to Necrons? I've been subscribing to the Warhammer Imperium magazine and teaching my 9-yo grandson to play. He tried painting to humor me, and now says he doesn't like it. He is still enjoying building and playing though so I will suffer through painting the minis for him.
  9. Finally overcame my painting related burnout and finished the Warboss I'm contributing to the charity army project. I did some basic work on the base as he's standing on the tactical metal plate and his pose is a bit awkward without it.
  10. I was not able to finish my vow for May, so I re-vowed my Warboss for June. And I barely made it with the grace period... June vow complete.

    Bad Moons Warboss

Painted for an army to be auctioned at Nova Open 2023.
  12. I've been here a few more times than I would care to admit. Possibly not quite on the scale of destruction that you're describing, but I know the pain DuskRaider. What helped me to process the loss was to just put it all in a pile and walk away. Go do something else. Maybe pick up an old project that's half finished. Put your energy into something constructive as soon as you can. That will (at least for me) help to keep the creativity going and maybe even explore a new direction that wasn't considered before. I have a couple of large scale "miniatures" that had extensive conversions that suffered mishaps like that. One more than once sad to say. But they were rebuilt even stronger and better each time. Even if it did take me a few years in one case to come back around to it. The loss of a cherished creative expression is hard to get over, but it can be done. You've got this!
