  1. The trust is that Repentia only had that rule to playtest it for the Black Templars, so once that was done and then taken away again, it wasn't needed.
  2. There is nothing for the Ecclesiarchy to expect - the Adepta Sororitas are entirely under their control until the Sisters find evidence of corruption in their priestly contacts. They're not a separate organisation, they're the Ecclesiarchy's Internal Affairs department.
  3. Hoods and capes are two of the easiest things there are to green stuff... or rather, milliput. Green Stuff is horrible to work with because of the stickiness. A hood of milliput however, is very easy. Create a disk the size of a penny or so and, using wet fingers, squash it to about half a mil thick (basically the thinnest it will go without rupturing). You can then use a sharp (wet) knife to cut away one side until you have a crisp edge for the front of the hood... then it's a simple matter of draping it over the model's head and tucking in the bottoms.
  4. I just ignore the majority of the dark heresy fluff. It is heresy, after all, and I like my Sisters to be a bit tougher than being able to fight 'cultists and sometimes even orks'.
  5. Don't Tarantulas have a maximum range of 18" no matter what you put on them? Or is that only if you want 360 degree coverage?
  6. You're thinking of the super-detachment, Helion - a normal Detachment is just a force organisation chart (the old 'standard FOC' is a Detachment now, the Combined Arms Detachment). Effectively you've put a Drawback that isn't really (must have one Fast Attack. For Sisters. Whose best units are Fast Attack) and swapped rerolling your Warlord Trait for the old Holy Promethium rule, which is fun. Not really sure about the mob bonus. I kind of see what you're going with, but I think +1WS doesn't really make much sense - you don't actually get better at fighting because you're on an adrenaline high. On the other hand, +1 Initiative - your mind is active, you're paying attention more, and you're being carried forwards by fervor and momentum - would make a bit more sense, and be considerably more useful.
  7. The being-warlord-but-not-HQ is just part of normal 40k. What I would suggest is that you instead give her a special rule that lets her replace the sister superior OR be taken as an IC HQ choice.
  8. Why does Magrettia take up an HQ choice if she's replacing another model? Past precedence is for such characters to be auxiliaries, regarding the FoC. She can be the Warlord without being an HQ. Especially since she's slightly overcosted (+1 WS & W, and that Defiance rule, are not worth a whole 30 points).
  9. Third. He had Perdition, 'A master crafted melta pistol', before the Sisters got access to regular inferno pistols a few months later.
  10. For Majesty's Rebuke, I don't have a problem with the 16" range. It's just an odd number. There is precedence - Dante's Perdition Pistol was a double-range Inferno Pistol. Admittedly, that put it at range 12".
  11. The thing about Cain is that he lives in a subtly different version of the 40k universe to the rest of the fluff. This is most obvious when Techpriests show up - Techpriests in the Cain novels wear white robes. This lines up with Rogue Trader fluff, but not with Warhammer 40,000 fluff, which has them universally wearing red. Of all Aznable's proposed hypotheticas, I actually don't have a problem with #3 so much - I did specify 'relationships outside their orders'. I do think that there's potentially room for a... I guess the best way to call it is a 'romantic two-girl friendship', between two Sisters. It's not dating, they're not "in love", and they're not having sex. But they do love each other. On the other hand, members of a long-term squad probably feel that way towards all their close sisters. When you walk through hell, it's a recorded fact that people form strong emotional bonds with those who walk with them.
  12. My personal take on the matter is this; Relationships are a distraction, and sex is fun. The Adepta Sororitas are a penitent order. They use pens covered in needles, practice self-flagellation and spend their days training for war, investigating corruption and being very sorry for what their spiritual ancestors did. These things are enshrined in the fluff. They're as close to canon as 40k gets. Therefore, Sisters do not have relationships with people outside their Orders, and they never, ever have sex. Because they know, as part of their faith and very nature, that they do not deserve that pleasure. Or any other, other than the satisfaction of a job well done, and that only after they have gone through every step of the job looking for mistakes. Firstly so that they can avoid making them next time, and secondly so they know how much more penitence to make. The Adepta Sororitas are not a sane organisation. They are religious fanatics. If there's one catholic ideal that they hold dear to their hearts, it's that of Original Sin. Becoming the Brides of the Emperor instead of cutting Vandire down on San Leor is their Original Sin, and no amount of blood, suffering and praying can ever, ever wash that sin away. But they are trying. They are doing the Emperor's holy work. They are ensuring that nothing like it ever happens again. Defending the faithful. Protecting them from those who desire to turn them away, or mis-use their faith. They are the daughters of the Emperor and sin. But they are still Daughters of the Emperor. And they will earn the right to stand with their father against the coming darkness.
