  1. From what I've read, Saturnine was more common at the beginning of the Crusade than at the end, similar to volkite. Both technologies proved too difficult to maintain, so they became rarer with time.
  2. In an era of truly terrible and baffling lore decisions by GW, this might actually be the worst. Hopefully, since it requires the Emperor to get off the throne, it'll never matter.
  3. Imagine being the traitor marines hiding behind that wall when he just coolaid mans his way through it. Glorious.
  4. On an official, it is in a novel or rulebook level, I'm inclined to say no. I'd love to see something official in that capacity but that'd take some impressive work. Unofficially, I'd be inclined to say yes. There are a lot of legion fragments and small forces that didn't link up with the larger narratives in the Horus Heresy. These forces did their best to contribute to the war effort in some capacity and likely fought all sorts of foes.
  5. In the Emperor's name and by his will, the ten thousand stand ready for battle, their vow fulfilled.
  6. Paint the sword/wing icon on it to make the point clear and then, yes.
  7. I would make a few changes to the Codex to make Agents a stand-alone army. Add the three assassins that have models but no rules. Use them to fill in some of the gaps in the army (infocite = anti-tank and poisoner = anti-monster) Remove dataslates that are explicitly in other codices (except the rhino) Create an army rule that allows Agents armies to take limited selections from other armies (with adjustments to their rules to fit, such as the changes to sisters) Add inquisition of other transport models (land raider, valkyrie, etc.) Adjust a unit or two to be more elite units representing groups of mini-characters (the agents unit is perfect for this) Adjust the detachments rules to focus on rules that buff their appropriate units (to allow thematic armies but that don't penalize you for not facing the appropriate foe)
  8. I was painting away on my vow and it occurred to me that I have a thunderhawk waiting for the Salamanders I plan to make after I’ve got my custodes done. How many points is a thunderhawk worth? I’d guess reaver level but it might be warhound.
  9. I got it by not doing the math at all. I copied the pledge of another poster, edited it, and forgot to change the points.
  10. I, librisrouge, head the Call to Arms and pledge to paint 13 custodians and 1 dreadnought for 16 pts for the Glory of the Emperor, the Imperium of Mankind, Heresy Stronghold, and in defiance of the Warmaster on or before 15th September 2025, or bear the badge of failure until the end of the year.
  11. The hand you can barely see is a tad too small to be a dreadnought. Am I the only one worried about the introduction of the damage stat? It feels similar to what happened to 40k and I don't want HH to become 40k.
  12. I name my armigers but change them up from the knight visually. House Pelletier's colors are: Blue - Loyalty Silver - Purity Gold - Generosity Armigers are forbidden from having gold. They're either watchmen (and thus, peasants) or squires (and thus, servants). What they have is given by the house, so they have nothing of their own to be generous with until they ascend to full knighthood. Perhaps some visual marker could work for your house to justify the naming of the smaller machines.
  13. I could see why a lot of folks aren't thrilled with this box but I'm certainly picking one up. I adore the absurd aesthetic that 40k can have sometimes and saturnine terminators lean into that a lot. I'll be fielding a unit of them regularly.
  14. I might be wrong, and please correct me if I am, but I think the army is illegal. Doesn't everything have to be Dreadwing in that Rite of War? Otherwise, I see a few potential hiccups (from a guy who has played three games of this edition, so take with salt): No Line units means you might not be able to score in missions where that matters The Malcador just isn't great. I wish it was. Dreadnoughts have no benefit from two chainfists. Take a chainfist and gravis fist for the same benefit plus options.
  15. Guys, I think GW forgot that Agents exist. Again. Deathwatch has a section for updated rules that just reads: "None." Agents don't even have a section.
