  1. It’s the charm, Dan. GW has certainly stepped up their game but also dropped the ball many times in recent years. Me, I’m the guy who’s still pissed off and disappointed by the fact our last codex had FAQ before its actual release... End of Line
  2. I don’t like the new core + chapter supplement, myself. I understand the reasons behind it, I just don’t want to add to the pounds of weight in codices I lug around every time I play. My life is sooo difficult. I do however like the fact that we will keep up with the other chapters. If it’s at the cost of unique units like Fen Wolves I’m going to be angered, the wildly wolf wolfiness is why I play SW. Limiting Characters in a chapter like ours is also worrisome. I have like 3-4 versions of the HQ units I play, and would hate to lose the flavor of angry Marines howling into battle to further their glorious exploits. End of Line
  3. His walker triggered the detector leading to the rubricon, and they turned him away. “Sir?? Is there someone we can call to come help you??” End of Line
  4. I’m very pleased to see a positive addition to Ulrik, I’m glad they haven’t Primaris-ized him. That model is too damn good to replace yet!! And GW releasing a product that is full of bugs and fixes...?? At least they’ve never issued faqs for a codex that hasn’t even been released!! Oh, wait... Wait on purchasing any GW printed material. You’ll end up eating it if you jump the gun and pull the trigger too early, Mr. Larry Johnson. Meow. End of Line
  5. It is helpful. I was feeling like maybe I jumped the gun on planning for a changing edition and a new army. Im thinking The short wait is actually a good thing as there are models left to build and then paint. So thank you for the response!! When I started playing 40k in 5th ed I narrowed my choices to Space Wolves and Chaos Space Marines and the monster of a man on the cover of the codex. I ended up with the space pups, obviously. I’ve dabbled in other armies over the years, but I always felt like the models in the CSM range paled in comparison to those of the SW range. At that time. When 8th hit with the first wave of chaos stuff I was piqued but not fully interested in collecting. But it was the remodeling of Abaddon and many of the other new kits that solidified my decision. The small amount of Black Legion I built as a kill team, as the low model count and smaller shorter game’s appeals to me much more these days. As 9th is looking very flexible in regards to size points and foc and hopefully allows me to field the low amount of models I currently posses... End of Line
  6. Hey guys and gals, Been a while... I’m all reved up for 9th edition, got my box ordered and paid for. But I’m also staring at the beginnings of a most glorious Black Legion army. These new (ish) kits are beautiful and are the tilt for me deciding to commit to play the army. Now I also have to say that I played a total of 11 games in 8th edition and all with my wolves. I’m so rusty Nurgle himself would smile. With my wolves I have a play style and really only a couple builds I run *that will kick ass in 9th. But shhhhhh, don’t tell anyone*. With the black legion army I have an open slate as far as model options since it’s new. I have already acquired Yabba-Dabba-Abbadon, Chaos Sorcerer, 2 boxes of the new troops kits and the new Oh so Fabulous Bill. All these models are amazing if I didn’t already mention that. Oh, no. I did. So I’m at a great core once I add another marine pack. I want this army to differ from the very aggressive and fast wolves list and I’m liking the feel and thematics of Abaddon surrounded by marines. So I got that covered. I’d love any suggestions as to what kind of units/strategies I should move on too next. I like the disco lord / engine concept/idea/tactic as well as the TDA, oblits, havocs and the Heldrake (the model speaks to me. In my nightmares). What should the next addition be to help me get an all around flexible force onto the table?? I don’t have regular opponents I play right now, but I know the local meta has Orks, Primaris and Tau played frequently. Oh, and BA. I’ll add additional ideas, questions and pictures once I get some models past their current grey color. End of Line
  7. ...and then there’s Prot just painting amazing models and making great threads to post them in!! Beautiful looking models, Prot!! The scattered red bullet tips on Yabba-Dabba-Abbadon’s bullet belt are such a subtle and great little detail!! Brilliant!! Looking forward to seeing and reading more!! End of Line
  8. Great thread you’ve got here Val!! I too like so many have finally embraced the Primaris range. After the loss of the majority of my army several years ago I lost all momentum with Space Wolves and kinda 40K in general. I digress... With the release of the Ragnar I sooooooo wanted and was needed and is awesome, I’ve returned to the Rout. I’ve split the Rag/Gaz box, bought an intercessor squad and am eagerly awaiting the assault Marines for that oh so appealing feral marine look. Your gaming table blows my mind. Brilliant design!! I especially like the pull out drawers underneath and the massive amount of army and terrain storage. I’m looking forward to more as it is very inspiring for me!! End of Line
  9. Really nice looking Wolves!! I especially like the Lord of Possesions into a Rune Priest conversion!! Brilliant!! End of Line
  10. I am amazed!! This is quite the undertaking you've set out on, and you're making some amazing models from some really cool chapters!! This thread truly is a Marine players nostalgic stroll down memory lane. Thanks for sharing all of this!! End of Line
  11. WoW, Dantay!! It's been a while since I perused through your thread, here. You've really been busy, and your wolves are looking as unique as ever!! Always a pleasure!! I am also glad to hear that everything went well!! End of Line
  12. TITHI- Filled in a gap on Ulrik the Slayers cloak and primed a Rune Priest on a bike. End of Line
  13. TITHI... Played two 1K point games with my Death Guard. Glued a Deathwatch Librarian in TDA to a new base, and snapped a Deathwatch Watchmaster off of a little base, and glued him onto an appropriately sized one. End of Line
  14. Beautiful sight indeed, brother!! Russ looks great with all the TDA!! End of Line
  15. That's why I NEVER win any of the auctions for them!! :P I do have about 15 of them now, so I guess I can share!! ;) Nice looking work, Vykryl!! Your armor color choice is great, and very unique. The banner looks great, by the way. End of Line
