  1. I do have the other set. Or I did. I don't have the Thunder Hammer guy. I sold him painted a while ago. I do have the other two though. :D
  2. Who doesn't love a good Nurgling? Well, apart from Tzeentch? And here is a host of Nurgling butts for your delight.
  3. Yet another blast from the past, this time and old metal space marine captain. This chap has been waiting for a paint job since they were first released, but here we are. If memory serves this chap is the captain of the 3rd company, which is the Master of the Arsenal. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
  4. Thanks chaps, glad you like. I would love to paint some of the new plastic 'quins, i imagine painting the diamonds is a bit easier on them! :D
  5. Thanks man. Yeah, I am really glad I didn't throw em away. Lovely sculpts!
  6. I continue to work through my Pile of Glory (Shame...). These metal Harlequins have been on the pile for err.. well... so long I am pretty sure their weapon load outs aren't actually legal anymore. Anyway, cool models, and the inspiration for the current Harlequin plastics.
  7. When Mortarion and the Death Guard were first released, I pretty much bought every model. And they stayed on the pile of shame for the most part. I plan on painting Daemon Primarch Morty soon, so wanted to test out a scheme on his wayward son Typhus. Lovely model, not sure about the Cloud of flies, very nearly didn't include them.
  8. Thanks chaps! I quite liked painting it, I wasn't looking forward to it at all, but actually really enjoyed it. I do like the Dark Mechanicum, really looking forward to a full army release if it ever happens. :D
  9. Another big mini done, on a roll! This time Vashtorr the Arkifane. Yet another model that had been on the pile of shame that I am finally getting round to painting.
  10. Hot off the heels of Horus, I thought it was best to finish off Mortarion. I have had this model since he was released, so I thought it was about time. I tried to avoid going over the top with any dirt or damage to him, as I wanted him to reflect a time he was slightly less nurgleified (new word?). The temptation to do some freehand here and there, especially the cloak, was strong, but he was meant to be the primarch who didn't like embellishments too much, so I managed to resist. I know people will disagree with me, but whilst I think this is an amazing sculpt, much like the Horus model, I just found a lot of the detail to be slightly off due to the casting process. Horus was much better, but even then, the details seemed a little dodgy in places.
  11. Thanks Firedrake :D
  12. A year ago my wife bought me Horus Ascended for my birthday (I know, she is amazing). So after sitting on my pile of shame for too long, and given the final book of the Horus Heresy is out, it was about time I painted him.
  13. Some time ago I painted Azrael for my brother's birthday. With the new miniature, I thought I would paint it up again for his birthday this year, but put it on a scenic base and all that jazz. Sadly I had some issues printing out the Dark Angels symbol for the base, so it has a place holder painted one for now!
  14. Only 5 years after his release, and most of those years sat on my desk unpainted, I have finally painted up Ahriman! Belting model this, but suffers from what a lot of recent GW models suffer from, very fragile details that seem to want to bend/break/snap off at the smallest provocation.
