Next up, as a part of this campaign, I drew a map, which, I intended as an interactive one that changed as the battle progressed over the years. It really helped me plan the games ahead and what events I wanted to cover. In particular I wanted the betrayal of the emperors children to play out in a custom battle I planned. (And a secret emperors children army, again to use against my other good friend). As an Easter egg and a bit foreshadowing I based the design of the city around the Slannesh symbol.

Holy :cuss:. Post when I have time. I haven’t had time for 2 years!!! For cometh the red angel, I used the black book mission and adapted it. Created some fluff. Added Saul as a witness after he crashed his thunder hawk. here’s some fluff. Traitor 16 Loyalist. 1 Captain Ehrlen studied the Emperors children features, then the smoking remains of the isstvanian dead. He already knew this wasn’t the enemies weapon and captain Saul Tarvitz’s deception was for expediencies sake, for surely Angron would not unleash virus bombs, no, it was the warmaster, this was treason. As if some script was being played out in some remembrancers drama the guttural bellow of their gene-father Echoed across the Plaza. “This is not your fight captain, though it soon will be” said Ehrlen. Saul glanced at the World eaters stormbird overhead, the monster hanging off the rear embarkation ramp was getting ready to jump. Several other drop ships seemed to be chasing the stormbird carrying Angron. No doubt the Primarch of the world Eaters was eager to butcher his children. Saul knew fear, Ehrlen had seen it many times in countless faces. “Carry the message to your brothers and cousins we’ll handle our father”. Ehrlen gestured to the arches behind him out of the Plaza to the siren hold in the north. “Go” he ordered. Saul reluctantly started for Arches. Ehrlen turned to join his brothers. They were all ready to fight. No orders, no questions and no fear. Maybe it was the nails, it was easy to let them take over; no pain, no thought only the satisfaction of the kill. They had handed out death to millions, this was their reward. A Dull thump and a roar announced Angrons arrival on Isstvan, right where Ehrlen and Saul had their exchange moments earlier. He could see Saul standing in awe at the Primarch half starting to move half stunned, Traitor world eaters surrounded the Captain of the Emperors children and then he disappeared from view. Angron charged his sons. Each swing of the Chainaxes Gorefather and Gorechild evaporating loyalists by the dozen with each swing. Where the axes didn’t meet enemies boots kicked and crushed, spiked shoulders impaled, chains failed and bludgeoned and entire Squads died. Ehrlen picked up a Thunderhammer and charged his father. The hammer did not have the opportunity to land. After… Saul hauled himself out of the collapsed sewer system back to the surface of Isstvan. By some sort of luck he’d been knocked unconscious and presumably fell out of harms way, he looked at the Plaza where yet another slaughter had just taken place, the scene was horrifying, no bodies were in the area, just gore and viscera, he thought he should try to locate Captain Ehrlen but thoughts of the task ahead came to him. He must survive, link up with other survivors, organise and fight, but there were no survivors here. Just then another stormbird and a bulk lander flew overhead, heading north to the siren hold, from the briefings this was Lokens primary drop zone. Without a second thought he began running in the direction of the traitor craft, they were death guard and… Emperors children. As the header suggests the traitors won. Mission;

really am trying here but I think I might have over extended myself. Raven guard Assault squad finished, salamander despoilers done. Dark furies 6/10 done. Mor deythan are on the painting station ready for the oil wash.

And I already painted a test model hence only 9 Sallys. final edit* found the assault marines and remaining 5 iron hands which are going to be hacked apart, upgraded and repainted.

guess I need to take more pictures. Shabran Darr’s 11th company, Darr is on the right in the last picture with his SIC, who I use as either a delegatus to get a ROW or a chaplain. There 40 assault marines that have the pack packs magnetised so they can be despoilers. 5 terminators with land raider 10 rampagers 2 Contemptors 10 heavy support missile squad with a techmarine. should come to 2500 pts.

Cometh the Red Angel complete. Isstvan III has begun. And the first of my treacherous reveals. Myself and my two mates chose legions. Myself; sons of Horus, my one friend chose World eaters and recently Death guard, my other friend chose Emperors children. Ever since I read the first black book I wanted to do Cometh The Red Angel. A one sided but great opening to the heresy. Over 10 year later after my best friend chose World eaters I secretly amassed a world eaters army during covid. So at last, last month we could finally play that mission. ill post more once I get time. But this was an epic game. And lots more heresy to come. For now, here are my loyalist world eaters.
