  1. I may not have the most discerning eye, but that looks pretty cool to me. I can't wait to see how it looks when they decide to ship it.
  2. I'm sure the devil is in the details (and probably math), but it seems like having a "soup" rule to put some agents into another army, along with datasheets for a barebones AM platoon, a barebones Chimera, and a barebones Leman Russ tank to represent the unlucky "Commandeered PDF" that would bulk out an IA force if no one else was around would be a good plan. Maybe four pages in a printed book. Make sure the PDF points costs allow for "extra bodies" to be added to fill out odd points costs.
  3. You're probably right, but Gravis with big two-handed eviscerator chainswords and (heavy?) bolt pistols in holsters would at least look awesome on the table :) Kind of like not-yet-veteran-enough Bladeguard, but with a faaar less knightly mein to appeal to the "wilder" chapters.
  4. I agree. For my money, what's good about the Impulsor is that it's a pickup truck with a crew of marines hanging over the sides firing their plasma rifles. That it has some weapons of its own is a nicety. I also like having grav and tracked vehicles because "my guys" are making use of what they have on hand.
  5. It would be nice, but at this point, all of my Razorbacks have interchangeable turrets and can be Whirlwinds if needed. if neither Razorbacks or Whirlwinds exist in some form in the future, well, then I have some neat looking tanks.
  6. I think the turret-less Land Raider is iconic to the setting, and should be preserved. Having turrets on the Repulsor helps set it apart. I like having the different silhouette, readily discernable from a distance and by newer folks.
  7. I know what you meant, but now I want Tyranids that actually attach to other Tyranids like a Voltron or a Combiner team from Transformers to make a gestalt that gets the MONSTER keyword.
  8. I find lots of things to like on both sides of this box. The Orks are some of the best, and the "Wearing their mask around the chin" Painboy made me chuckle. On the Marine side, I like the Vanguards and the jump Chaplain, and the Eradicators catch my eye, especially if the gun shields are separate/ easily trimmable. My only complaint is how cruciform the Armageddon campaign badge is, but that's fixable too. All in all good stuff!
  9. Maybe put some grav-skids in the front to make a wheeled bike with a skimmer sidecar?
  10. Maybe it would be possible to magnetize the head, so you could remove it to pack flat between foam pads? Also, that would be fun for in-game if he goes 'eadbang. Personally I like the cables, shows that Orks aren't afraid of new ideas.
  11. This is the best April Fool's I've seen in a while. Good on ya GW.
  12. In my opinion, these are the best new 40K Mecanicus models in a while. This new wave is very impressive so far!
  13. I like this more than I like the Dinobots. As much as I like the more square construction equipment style parts of the old Defiler model, I love the upper body turret/ torso so much more on this new one. I really like the rune-marked crablike power shears look of the lower legs. Especially in that Iron Warrior double lascannon configuration they show, that looks like a monster that you can put somewhere there are fire lanes and it can defend itself agains anything that drops in to fight it.
  14. Maybe it's to contrast against the grim, determined stiff upper lips of the Imperial characters? Or simply that after the opening of the rift, the forces of Chaos are generally having a great time? Either way, I really like this model, and I have to give credit to the painter, the eyes really sell the "diorama" elements of the moment being shown.
