The interesting thing is, with the Metal Combat Gauge Promotion, this is also one of the very few occasions where we get a VERY rough indication of how many products GW have produced and sold. The T&Cs for the Combat Gauge say there are 27,500 available and will only be applied while stocks last. We can reasonably guess out a few things from this: GW had at least 27,500 copies of Kill Team: Octarius available for sale directly through their website As of 3pm BST 15th August fewer than 27,500 copies have been sold direct through GW as the combat gauge was still available Overall production for Kill Team: Octarius almost certainly exceeds 30,000 copies (especially as Dark Sphere are showing that they are supposed to receive 950 copies!) As a fun point, if GW sells enough copies of the box for the Combat Gauge to run out, they will have sold £3,437,500 worth of boxes (27,500 x £125) No wonder the share price is good, that's phenomenal sales figures for what is a niche system within a niche hobby. Have to say, I am happy with their sales strategy. I work Saturday mornings and it was nice to finish up, come home, shower, bit of grub, sit down at 2pm and order a new release at my leisure.

How do you like Army Painter hobby tools & supplies?
mactire replied to Helias_Tancred's topic in + GENERAL PCA QUESTIONS +
Snips and cutters are good quality and the few brushes I've bought seem to be fine. I actually like their spray can selection, good coverage, good choices and match well with the pots of the same name. -
Put out all of the pieces, painted and unpainted to see what kind of Board coverage I've got. Looks pretty good for now, a few more containers maybe and maybe some Vertigus sets for an administrative building.
-
Decided to lay out what I have at present. Nice bit to paint up still, but wanted to see how it would look on the Moon Base Kalassius(?) board. Pretty happy with the amount of coverage, I'll probably pick up another couple of the Container sets as well.

Cheers, I'm kind of thinking I could link the two. Campaigns above ground to have a bearing on the Underhive games, such as control of access points or reinforcements.
-
Recently decided to really expand my KillZone options. I got the Necromunda Dark Uprising set along with the Sector Fronteris one, this is to add to the MoonBase Kallasis, Ryza Ruins and Munitorium Containers set I've already painted. This a wall section I've done to try out a paint scheme, happy enough with it, TBH. This is what I have so far

Got my Necromunda Dark Uprising and Sector Fronteris last weekend, so it looks like Terrain will be added to the list of grey shame. Here is one wall piece I've done, happy enough with the scheme. Any c&c appreciated

Sorry Brothers, after a great year in 2020, I've totally got bogged down in RL stuff and won't be able to keep up for 12 months. I'll try and post up my Feb and March commitments when I get them done. Keep up the great work everyone else and I will be following all the completions. -
Hi all, I've a lot of tanks that I'm planning on applying transfers to, to break up the flat surfaces. Not a big fan of transfers and don't use often, so was wondering what are the steps that I've seen mentioned regarding medium and ardcoat. Basically which goes first, tanks in advance (see what I did there).

Sorry Brothers, February has been a washout for me. Between work and my local GAA club, I'm not going to make it. I will pledge again for March and finish off February's as well, if that's OK. Well done everyone on the work completed so far. -

Thanks. I reckon I'll run him as a Veteran specialist. I've put together a CC specialist for February, will post some pics. http://bolterandchainsword.com/uploads/gallery/album_16831/med_gallery_61271_16831_37213.jpg

I Mactire vow to complete for February 5 Chaos Marines and a Combat Specialist for the Fierce-eyes KillTeam. Great start everyone, hopefully 2021 will be productive for us all. -

Just throwing them together as a KillTeam for now, so maybe a weapons specialist or CC. I have a ton of bits and bodies, so it'll be a little bit of Rule-of-Cool. Plan on doing one for Blackmane as well (Old skool) and maybe Grimnar.
