Yup, they're mentioned (and shown) in the Fall of Reach novel, so they predate Elysians by 4 years in literature, and a year with their visual design.

Honestly making me annoyed I went into doing the effort of super customizing mine with bits. These look so good and clean.

DA rules disappointment and future Supplements
Gederas replied to Tokugawa's topic in + BLACK TEMPLARS +
Not really, no. Everyone cried about Oath of Moment, but the rest of the Marine codex was an upgrade imo. Tyranids and Necrons got better, the only faction to get outright worse was AdMech. Since this is the edition of nerfs, based on the nonsense of the DA supplement this is what I expect: Helbrecht loses his Mortal Wound ability, his weapon goes down by 1 damage on both profiles (to minimum 1) Grimaldus' abilities get worse Sword Brethren's weapon upgrades become "Sword Brethren Heirloom weapons", with 5A S5 AP-1 D2; also they go up to 300 for 5, and get locked to 5-man The Emperor's Champion becomes a slapfighter, loses Precision 20% points tax on every unique unit in the BT army The opposite end is "why should I play this army?" when a BAD force gets worse. Dark Angels weren't super powerful and oppressive, and they got a visit from Vinny with the bat because.... Reasons? Right now, the only reason why I'm getting the Deathwing Assault box is because my FLGS did a special order on the GW site because his rep screwed him out of the pre-order sheet. Not because I myself want to play DA in 10e, but because I don't want to be a jerk I mean, I guess I finally have Assault Terminators? -

Yup, it's a straggler. Will be explained later once I get the fluff written down

Okay update, for the purposes for the Call to Arms, these Knights of the Evesaran Crusade (featuring a guest star Dark Angel and Vindicare of Inquisitrix Draxys') I say "for the purposes" because I, once again, burnt myself out on painting Marines because I was painting these guys daily since July

Vow complete: The Dreadnought fought me the whole way through. I need to stop vowing MANY models at once. I'm burnt out on Marines. Again. Because I DON'T LEARN MY LESSON -
Minor update: The Terminators and Biologus from the above are just needing re-layering and highlights and they're done, also progress on Garrean has begun as I've gotten almost all of the parts together, just working on the final part decisions
-
MTO Primaris Company Champion, FYI.

So I had to Laugh react because of this: That is such a classic "left hand/right hand" thing GW does that I am so unsurprised. I mean, I didn't even know people didn't get theirs yet because everyone at my FLGS who did the MTO got theirs within a week, and I said it was likely due to them still having tons in the warehouses. -

Progress update (no image), but the Terminators and Biologus are receiving the shades which means they just need highlights after this -
Thanks! Yeah, I've learned to always try and either do complimentary or contrasting basing. With Black Templars, "ruined chapel" fit a good theming, so I went with the ruins of white stone temple, and a consistent colour scheme does a lot to tie together three different lines of bases (Txlari Factory's Royal Palace and Dungeon bases and Unreal Wargaming's Ruined Temple). And yes, Polish names were amongst the first set of names (German, French, Italian, Polish and Czech to be specific) due to wanting to have a more varied force than just "all German or German-sounding names", so I went for more of a general European feel, similar to the actual Knights Templar having members from many different nations of Europe (that and two of my own heritage's background are represented, Polish being one of the main heritages)
-
Now another couple notes for the Evesaran Crusade: Yes, I'm naming every single Marine that's not a Neophyte (Almost) Every marine Initiate and higher is having their own personal heraldry on their tilting shield. (KILL ME FOR DECIDING TO DO THIS) I'm going with different variations of the Battlefield Role and Rank colorations for shoulders (which I've added to the breakdown post)

(And yes, I know exposure is all sorts of funky, I was in a rush with the above) Additionally, reinforcements:
