  1. A Chaos Space Marine is basically a person who had a well-sheltered childhood and is now getting to experience the world as seen by Ted Bundy, Charles Manson, and John Wayne Gacy after being raised by Adolf Hitler and Josef Stalin.
  2. Last time someone killed Lucius and they didn't enjoy it, Lucius' corpse was revived by Slaanesh.
  3. Case in point would be a World Eater who beat an Ultramarine to death with a skull attached to a spine while surfacing on a ship that would burn up in the atmosphere.
  4. All fiction requires a suspension of disbelief. Otherwise it wouldn't be fiction.
  5. Usually the point of fighting over a planet is to actually harvest its resources. Blow up the planet and you destroy its food, water, and most importantly, its citizens. And citizens represent the greatest value to the forces of Chaos. Slaves, future soldiers, future Chaos Marines, and sacrifices to the Dark Gods, to continue Their favor. Also, even the smallest ship represents a vast amount of resources. They take forever to build in 40K as even the smallest ship is the Cobra destroyer I believe, with a length of 1.5km. That's just 100 meters short of an Imperial-class Star Destroyer. The average 40K cruiser? Roughly 5km. Roughly 1/4 the length of the Executor, Vader's flagship. The average battleship/battlebarge? In 40K, the average Imperial ship is 8-12km long. But in the Heresy? The sizing gets ridiculous. In other words, yes, it'd work spectacularly. But if the ship is still in viable usage, then it'd be a massive waste in resources. Both in what you are literally throwing away, and in what you'd be destroying that you could be salvaging. In 40K, planet killing is rightly treated as a last resort. There are only a handful of instances in which it is used or even wanted to be used as something. The creation of the Ruinstorm, Canticle City, the Gothic War, and a few others. And each time, it was because the aggressor believed it would help cut short the battle by demoralizing the enemy. But more often than not, it's used as a salt and burn method of depriving the enemy of their victory.
  6. In the Eye I think such delineations are a lot more... fluid. What happens if a possessed champion reverts to spawndom? Are they simply exorcised? Or does the daemon reign unopposed over the mewling flesh?Actually, funnily enough, they'd still just be possessed. If a Possessed Champion lost the battle of wills, the daemon would just take over and shape the body to its needs. So it would either become a possessed with the daemon in control(basically a daemonhost with none of the imprisoning wards), or it would just become a summoned daemon(like Malefax from the BA series). Spawns don't have to be champions of Chaos. Remember Bolt of Change? And the rampant mutations the pre-Chaos Thousand Sons used to have to deal with? Spawndom is either punishment by the gods, loss of control by someone filled with warp energy, or a purposeful "curse" for want of a better descriptor.

  8. Well, maybe not the Chaos version, but there are Chapters who get pretty close to the skull-in-star symbol the Death Guard used to have. http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Novamarines http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Dark_Sons And since the entirety of the Imperium is suffering from information censorship, it's possible there are entire sectors that don't even remember the Death Guard used to have different colored, cleaner armor.
  9. Yeah. I'll worry about it when GW starts making them all Jump Pack troops. Then we'll know they're scavenging the VIIIth. Until then, we have FW, where we're treated like an actual Legion. B)

    Funny Legions

  11. Isn't there a dark elf or dark eldar hq that could be used for Telemachon's head? I guess you could use Abaddon's lol.
  12. I would never imply that a passage that says units must have or take the (specify <Mark of Chaos> keyword) in order to take (a specific <Legion> keyword). Follow the rules? Absolute Chaos. ;)
