Interests
I'm mostly in the hobby to paint, though I want to learn how to do various conversion techniques, such as GS'ing. However, I do like the occasional friendly game, and I really want to organize or partake in a campaign once I have one of my armies finished.

Today in the hobby I... ... got my basic color scheme for my Sanguine Gargoyles done. (It's a very rough mock up, so please don't judge the crude paint job. Also, I'm sold on Tesseract Glow.)

Today in the hobby I picked up a few new paints and some paint medium, as well as some mixing beads for my pots. I was able to salvage a few of my old paints, and I'm hoping with the medium and the the beads I might be able to salvage some more that are right on the edge of just being trashed. Tomorrow in the hobby (I don't know if I'll be online tomorrow) I will be picking up some brushes and knocking out most of my January vow for the 12 Months of Hobby challenge.

No apologies needed, Dwango. :) I too am hoping this challenge will push me to get my army completed. I'm off to the store today to pick up the remaining paints I need (I was able to salvage some from my collection, but I'm low on others that I need), and some new brushes, so that I can get started tomorrow. -

Even better. I, Fenrykus , embark on the 12 Months of Hobby Challenge, and for the month of January pledge to complete Sternguard Captain Namora and Company Ancient Vindaheim by month's end. Additionally, I pledge to complete Sternguard Veteran Squad Namora by the end of June for a Plodding Along vow. Edit: Thanks for the welcome, Grotsmasha -

So the base point of this challenge is to complete 1 model a month, correct? Awesome. Even with the end of January fast approaching, I think I can do that. I just need to get some paints, and possibly brushes, and I can get something done up. One quick question: Do I need to vow for every month that I want to participate in up front, or can I vow for Jan through March, and then In March continue vowing? -

Lughead was on "Century duty," as he called it. Wanting to "help out the Judge-man," the Ogryn hefts his ripper gun onto his shoulder, randomly picks a point on the perimeter, and stares out from there until 'Judge' has other work for him. Nearby, 'Scarlet' and another Legionnaire were chatting. while 'Judge' was on his own "Century duty." After a moment, he called to Scarlet for a vox. <Maybe da Judge-man needs ta talk to da other bosses. Did he see something?> Lughead looked in the direction the Commander had been looking, but couldn't make anything out himself. <Hmm. Did he see a bird? I like birds. Birds have wings, I hope it was a bird.> A flash of movement dragged Lughead back from his reverie, as 'Stimms' made his way to the "hurt and sick tent." <I hope da guys get real good soon, too. Dat way dey can go and see der families when we're done here.> Noise off in the far distance caught the Ogryn's attention once more. He turned back to his facing, peering through squinted eyes, and wondered if he could see anything, despite not knowing what he was looking for. After several minutes, in which time the mountainous abhuman's armored hand clenched and unclenched several times and a runnel of drool began to trickle down his lip, Lughead shook his head. Turning away from his post, he lumbered off to find 'Walker,' an ex-Weapons Specialist and Lughead's current handler.

I was afraid you'd say that. Ah well, I'll make do with the order I rolled. It'll make for a more interesting experience. Edit: I purchased two Toughness advances (100 and 200 xp), the Jaded talent (200), and Scrutiny at Known (100). That's my 600 points. Edit 2: I know you said you'd prefer us to stay away from well-known regiments, but I'm doing something slightly different with my Comrade. It's only to add a little extra flavor to the character, not be the whole meal. If it's too much, let me know. The idea is that Antikrieg is from (you guessed it) the Death Korps, but he was sent to a penal colony for desertion. Picked up by my regiment, he got paired up with Lughead as his handler as part of his sentence. Long story short, the two have been a duo for some time, and Lughead just keeps getting them both in trouble.

That's every skill in the game, listed under its governing attribute. Everyone should have them on their list somewhere, and marked accordingly for Known, Trained +10, or Trained +20.

Are we allowed to place our attribute rolls as we want, or do we roll for each individually?

Ok in that case, I'll go with the following choices: +3 Toughness, Bolt weapon training, and if you'll allow it, I'll take a Macefist (from Shield of Humanity) and the Ripper Gun.

I have a couple questions before I make my decisions. First, is Lughead going to have to try not to break his issued weapon, or will he be able to take a ripper gun alongside/instead of a non Ogryn-Proof heavy weapon? Second, what is the Regimental favored heavy weapon? Edit: I didn't realize the heavy stubber was Ogryn-Proof.
