  1. My take on Storm Wardens with as much official material as I could find. Couldn't find any info on Squad, Company, or Rank marking other than Tempest Blades (I assume their regular Veterans like Black Templar Sword Brethren). I incorporated purple into the tartan since there is an official picture of a purple/white cape, and it looks good color wise. Any comments, critiques, or corrections are welcome.
  2. This is a good question, it is annoying when I buy a new box to make a squad from 5 to 10, and the new ones are a bigger base. It isn't major, just one size up, but it is noticeable. Is there an official ruling on this? I don't play any official games/tournaments, but it bugs me if they're "wrong"...I don't know why TBH.
  3. So I'm doing a Blood Angels Successor that has very a heavy Greek theme, not unlike Brazen Minotaurs. While they won't be fully bronze, they will have bronze legs from the knee down, bronze gauntlets (not hands), bronze shoulder trim, and bronze helmets for Vets (where BA would have gold helmets). Torso, upper arms and upper legs will be white, blue shoulders and a white and light blue Chapter Bade. I originally thought things like Aquilas and winged skulls would be the same metallic color, bronze, but while painting I started second guessing myself as to making them gold. I attached my original SM Painter version as well as a couple pictures of a model WIP. What looks better? (Sorry if photo quality isn't great, it's the best I have atm.) TLDR: Look at pictures, what looks better (model WIP)?
  4. Little bit of background, I have been working on and off on a squad/Chapter for a while now, not sure how many years but probably at least 2 or 3 Editions, so don't judge me lol. They're a HEAVILY Greek Themed BA Successor Chapter, and this particular squad I want to have Jump Packs, and hopefully all with a Shield and Spear/Sword as the main visible armament (some other WYSIWYG may be fudged). Just wanting to make sure I understand, and ask for clarify if I don't. Currently as far as Space Marines/Blood Angels go, Vanguard Veterans are the only ones that can be entirely comprised of Shields w/ Jump Packs, but now suddenly have to sacrifice any ranged weapon for the Shield, am I understanding that correctly? Furthermore, did I miss if there was another unit that could entirely take shields, preferably with Jump Packs? As a side note, what happened to Combat Shields, are they even an option for Sergeants anymore?

  6. I'm sorry for my haste, I do see this is the Astra Militarum Subforum, I shall submit myself to the nearest Inquisitor for my Fat-Fingering and/or Lack of Attention. Apologies.

  8. Thanks for the info, I'm toying around with different ideas for the Plagues of Egypt, obviously by the name it is very Nurgley, but not all of them would fall under his domain, WIP. For the Horsemen: The White Horseman will be Slaanesh themed, going with the interpretation of the White Horsemen being Conquest represented by a False Prophet/Anti-Christ. He will embody Slaanesh's vanity, being very pretty and regal looking, as the exact phrasing even mentions him wearing a crown, and I may try to incorporate some small undertone of nefarious with maybe a cape ending with barbed tentacles or something. I bet none of you can guess what I plan on for the Red Horseman, War. I think the only thing that isn't expected is that I will probably give him a sword instead of Khorne's favorite weapon, the axe, because Red and a Sword are the only stated characteristics for him. The Third Horseman is Black, and represents pestilence/famine. While that is very Nurglish, that interpretation is due to the fact the Horseman carries Scales and talks about drastic inflation/rationing. For this one I envision a nice Tzeentch Sorcerer, whose staff is topped with said Scales, and maybe some scarabs flying around him (big ones from Tomb Lords). It is also worth mentioning (mainly regarding this Horseman) that the colors mentioned are descriptions of only the horse itself, the riders are only described by what they carry or say. Finally is the Pale Horseman, the only one explicitly named: Death. The color has a couple translations, but same theme. Pale, sickly, yellowish-green, ashen, corpse-like...Only fitting for this to be a wonderful scythe-wielding sickly-green reaper dedicated to Nurgle.
  9. Sorry if this has been asked, I'm not sure what to search to filter out other info about the Gods/Factions. Basically, is there a way to use all four Gods, or at least a squad of each type of specialty unit eg Berserkers, Rubric, Plaguebearers, Noisy Boys all in the same army? I'm making Night Lords and Thousand Sons armies, but I have ideas to create the Four Horsemen for the Night Lords and personifications of the Plagues of Egypt (read Plagues of Prospero, but not including the wolves).
  10. At first I thought I saw a Lord Voldemort or two in there, but I think they are just the mutant heads you linked. Very nice mixture, I love variety in armies.
  11. The (Still undecided, maybe Tok'ra) Dynasty has heard the call of the Silent King, and we awaken to reclaim what is ours. Hard to really tell in the picture, I drybrushed most of the colors, left the weapon solid black. Most of the model is a very dark silver overall, the "cape" is gold but duller than the hieroglyphs and ankh. ATM the glow is white with Teserract Glow, also played around with some Hexwraith Flame but may stick with just Tesseract. Still decided how to do base, maybe sand-like but black or a very dark blue/green, and may go back and make the circles on the gun glowing as well. Vow Completed.
  12. Finished, though this picture makes the fleshy parts look very bland...maybe it was just my lighting, I may go back and fade the blue and green too...it is table-top ready, so I declare Completed!
  13. I, RazorDaemon, vow to complete a Chaos Aspiring Champion for the Glory of Alpharius Omegon on or by the 15th of August 2020, or bare the Badge of Shame until year's end. Don't have an Aplha Legion army, not even sure if I will, but I like the look and wanted to give it a try re-using an old Dark Vengeance model.
  14. I, RazorDaemon, make my First vow to begin my Dynasty's awakening with the completion of one Royal Warden for 80 points (I think that's correct). Edit: Pic
