Which Black Library author's other work would you read.
grailkeeper replied to grailkeeper's topic in + THE BLACK LIBRARY +
Apparently Robert Rath has written some kind of technical manual for the US government. I pm'd him once asking where I could read it. Thats how much I like his writing. He has yet to reply. -

Thr vampire Lords all look the same, just like primaries lieutenants they kinds blend into one. Gimme an old school Van Carstein who looks like he's been hanging out with Bela Lugousi at the Opera. -

In fairness to the WWE/WWF its one of the few forms of entertainment where the baddy has as much chance of winning as the good guy. In 40k, where the term "good guy" means a bit less you can be pretty sure the protagonists will win. Storm of Iron was a big surprise at the time because the Imperium lost.

Graham McNeill mightn't be in the top tier of BL authors, but he's the top of the tier immediately below it. He doesn't get the credit Abnett does for inventing stuff, but he's actually invented quite a lot of formative 40k stuff. Ive mwt him twice and he was cool. Ive a few friends who claim to have gone drinking with him and their stories about him are great. Ive interacted with him a few other times online and he's always been a gentleman of the highest order. Plus he wrote Storm of Iron which is an all time classic.

Corpsemaster isn't a very reassuring title for a doctor. Seems like most chaos apothecaries are mad scientist types. Fabius is the archetype here but there's a few other in the novels. I'm surprised they went this way with this guy. The Astral Claws fell due to imperial politicking and misguided loyalties. It seems a shame that he's a mad scientist instead of a professional who fell in with the wrong crowd.

"rumoured to be one responsible for piecing Huron back together" Something about this annoys me more than it should. First it probably should be "rumoured to be THE one.' But why do they need to say that ita a rumoured that the most important medical officer performed life saving surgery on the most important officer? It something that most people would take as given. Seems a bit redundant. Why yes, I do have more spare time on my hands than normal this time of year. Why do you ask?

Gw was reluctant to kill off characters because they think people won't play with them. Tycho is the most famous canonical dead 40k character. I'd have no problem playing with or against a character who is dead. NNarrative it would make Things a lot better of people could die and stay dead.
