Punk possum's Achievements

  1. Cheers Cyber. I'm interested to see how the pod works out. I pretty much wrote them off as soon as I saw the index and knee jerk decided that Rhinos were a better point for effect ratio. Maybe I was too hasty, I shall be watching with interest and who knows might even dust off mine... I'm glad you like my contribution to the chapter there is more to come. I will finish those last few bits to complete 3rd coy and then who knows, there are so many option I still dont have, more air power?, an armored contingent? make some proper headway with the dreadwing? the list never ends!
  2. Top work indeed. The conversion beamer is a nice little conversion that works really well, but my favorite is the head swap on the D.V. Sarge it really is subtle but makes a big difference. I do feel that the real jewel in your crown is the Deathwing. TDA really does suit your clean crisp style. I hope we get to see more soon. Have you got to play any games with them yet?
  3. Nice to see another Angels of Vengeance player on the Rock, welcome Brother. Just to echo Max B your command detachment is looking great and you have used those Kromlech bits to good effect. I'll be looking forward to seeing more progress on these, for the honour of the chapter forward brother! Finally well done on the victory over the foul forces of corruption I have found my Black knights to be worth their weight in gold for capping and holding maelstrom objectives the combination of speed, durability and fire power when needed is so so useful. Also interesting to see a drop pod I've not used mine since the demise of 7th ed (and have another 4 unbuilt and likely to stay that way for a good long time to come ) I'm guessing it was a veteran delivery system?
  4. Ohh you were an LSW opo you have my sympathy. I just had an L85A1 with 30 round mag to lug around... Still on to much more relevant toy soldier stuff. Love the Tartatos dudes they really suit your super clean paint style and oh my those checks, nice! The Master is a nice and subtle kitbash. I love my Warhammer world Command tanks and am now looking forward to seeing yours (also the decal sheet that comes with them is super super nice just in case you haven't looked yet). P.S. if you never played rogue trader prepare for your mind to be boggled at how random and complex it is. Even if old farts like me wax lyrical about it...
  5. I'd say that the batches of two is working for you, the quality is super high as ever. I always paint one dude at a time I've tried batch painting so many times and oddly find it slow my completion rate down as I get all disheartened at not finishing things regularly I much prefer to think that is 20% of the squad done than try and persuade my self that 5 basecoated dudes is 20% done. As to style I know exactly what you mean I admire so many really down and dirty battle torn and weathered armies but I feel that the clean style is what I do to the most competent standard. Honestly I think you can and have done both brilliantly but I feel your skills are shown to their best with your clean dudes.
  6. Looking sharp there Brother, I'm looking forward to seeing those Black Knights get some paint love.
  7. I really like the red skull on the Sargent's Chest icon, so much so I've swiped the idea I'm also really glad you have gone back to a clean paint style it really lets the quality of your line work show.
  8. Looks to me like you are really going to do justice to Sammael and his talon master assistant Also thanks for the jade tutorial link I have a project in the works that that will come in super handy for.
  9. Dude sweet! I particularly like the master of the 1st
  10. Mechanist speaks words of wisdom on this and way back in 1988 when I started mucking around with the 40k sandbox company markings really weren't much of a thing. My first 1000 point army had such a small model count the the very idea of a full battle company was unimaginable. I can remember being overwhelmed by having 2 rhinos 2landraiders and a landspeeder in one list....
  11. I'm with GRC on choice 3 but Kraut scientist is bang on the money so much depends on shade and highlight that it's really hard to say for sure, are you planning to take the test dudes on a stage or two?
  12. Those pox walkers look suitably disgusting. I still think it's a shame that a son of the eighth has fallen for the "charms" of papa nurgle but I'm glad that you found clearing out so positive and look forward to watching your Death guard develop.
  13. I vote for door 3 too. Also for the rune staff head have you considered the kraken face bit from the Dark elf corsair's banner?
  14. For anyone else that would be a great bit of advice, but this is the one and only BCK. A chap that poses with a tee shirt stuffed in his belt to get the folds on a loin cloth right! On a related note awesome to see you returning to posting BCK, it only took a few hours to catch up from 2014ish when I was last active on B&C...
  15. Humm where to start, I love the pilot lights, the themeatic baseing and the fact that its a frikking leviathan dread. Also lovely dirty white. I'm only a little jealous honest...
