another year has passed and I haven't really touch my deathwatch. I have to say that in-game they are so instable that it doesn't help. However, I have made some test. And finally i think I have found something cool. (the one on the right). I tried Tovarion grimdark style on the left, a drybrush and contrast in the middle and squidmar / Ataraxia style on the right. and i think the latest works quite well. obviously it's not finished, but it changes from GW Heavy metal edge highlights we see everywhere. what do you think?

hello to everyone. I see i haven't post anything since February. I know I am slow, but nevertheless I painted some stuff since then. ok mainly some DAs, but some GSC as well. Well here are my aberrants et my abominant. I painted some jackals, but I don't have any photos with me. some time soon.

funny I was thinking about starting a thread, but not as positive as you Indy Techwisp. I heard deathwatch was going to be MIA in the turn of 11th edition. rolled back into IA but not codex / index / supplement to have a proper Deathwatch Army. I was wondering what to do with my 60+ infantry models (veterans; intercessors; infernus; hellblasters; characters etc). I have too much minis for a game of Kill Team, and not enough variety for 40K. Guess I'll wait a bit more. it's not like I had them for a few years already...

it's been a very long time since my last entry overhere. I will have to show all the otherstuff I painted, but for now here is a little WIP of some metamorphs and acolytes; and a iconward and a patriarch. Still a lot to do, so many details!

Brothers! It's been a long time since I painted anything in Dark Angels colour. I couldn't get myself to paint anymore green since June. But finally I came back to my Azrael, as I didn't like how I finished him last year. So there he is.

hello brothers. I am taking a shot at the new detachement tonight. I don't know yet against what, probably Grey knights. I'll tell you how I performed (but I am not in a competitive mind of play) Azarel (Warlord), with an apothicary and 10 hellblaster Terminator captain with Fulgus Magna and 5 DWK Terminator chaplain with calibanite armaments with 5 DWK Chaplain on bike with Lord of the Hunt with 6 outriders RW command squad with 6 RWBK 5 scouts Ballistus Dread 1 Stormspeeder Thunderstrike What do you think? trade the apothicary for 5 more scouts?

So, I guess you all have read that GW will give an online Codex in December in order to give us the possibility to have a real and complete Deathwatch army. so what do you think and hope there will be in?

From Valrak's rumour videos, the ravenwing will get some remake models, but not this edition. As the 10th is 1 year old, we'll stay with our codex and old RW command squad until at least 2026.

so, here is the Fellglaive / Falchion in all of his glory. I'll come back to this tank for battle damages, but I'll leave it a bit for now. Then Mister Azrael. he is not totally finished up to my standards. but I didn't have more time. And now for a grand reveal. 16'000pts of Dark Angels led by Azrael himself. this week-end was a blast, exhausting but so cool. I had to play against heavily armoured Space Marines, tyranids, Custodes a bit, space marine led by Marneus Calgar. Talking about Marneus, at the end of turn 4, he was with his victrix, 1 or 32 aggressors, a biologis apothicary against my deathwing captain in the middle of the table. my captain was left unarmed. totally saved all the attacks. Another big turn was the destruction of a Thunderhawk with a grenade launched by my eliminators (it was onto 3 or 4 wounds after some big fire). boum turn 1.

another WIP. I'll see tonight if I consider it finished or if I push a little bit further. but still have another character to finish for friday midday... not enough time so much details!

Thx Raziel. I dont know If I'll really knock it out, but Here is where i was yesterday evening. Still have to do edge highlights, the bone parts (as on my fellblade), the Doors emblems, battle damages and pigments. And then onto Azrael. So little time!

so here are the last 2 characters I have just finished. my terminator captain. (the only difference from the previous post is his base) my biologis apothicary and finally a little WIP for my tank. it's soo long, I don't know how I'll finish it for friday, as I still have a special character to do.
