JAG Templar's Achievements

  1. Hi all - the prospect of 10th Ed has dragged me back in after playing only about 5 games total for 9th edition. I've still been buying models and now have a large pile of shame. Working through as much of that as I can, before more models hit the shelves soon! Here's a very un-Templar-like techmarine to get my hobby eye back in:
  2. There is no hint/ rumour of alternating player activations within turns, right? I think that would be great for 40k but then some may argue that it is no longer 40k at that point.
  3. Love the way you did the sword on the two handed sword brother
  4. The crusade marches on as I work towards fully painting my current army list for play. I think lots of people have had the same idea,Bladeguard look great in gold/ brass! Edit: sorry, photos compressed badly when I uploaded
  5. My only complaint so far is that the data cards in the army box don’t include the supplement litanies. For some reason there are reprints of the core rule book stratagems but not the Templar litanies. Annoying.
  6. My thoughts (not that I have a huge amount of 9th experience): - Templars have amazing endurance with army wide 5++ and access to FNPs. Important for this edition. - space marines in general have good midfield shooting. Templars by default benefit from this combined with the above mentioned endurance. I know this won’t give some people the ‘knightly feel’ they are looking for but for me it’s just a fact of life - counter punching is going to be brutal. I’m going to play with a rolling fire base of 3 Redemptors supported by techmarine, Helbrect and screening units. Helbrecht looks like an amazing counter punch, in the same way that Guilliman was for early 8th Ed Ultramarines. I am mainly a hobbyist/ painter who somehow found themselves surrounded by meta players but I’m pretty sure Templars will be above average. The complaint I’m perhaps hearing is that they don’t feel like knights? Yeah, they feel like Iron Hands at the end of 8th, with a melee counter punch thrown in. Or at least that’s how I’m going to try to play them
  7. It’s been a long time since I read it but isn’t there an Armageddon short story (or maybe a small vignette in another book) about a Rhino based squad going round checking for survivors? Doesn’t prove that they used a lot of vehicles but evidence that they used some
  8. Definitely Uphold for the 5++/ defensive buff. I think Redemptors buffed by Techmarine will be brutal, although a bit swingy with the plasma
  9. Here’s my list for this weekend. First game in a long time so chose a simple list. Will choose relics, WL traits and litanies once I have the book: - Helbrecht (use HH Rogal Dorn counts as until Primaris model released) - Primaris Chaplain on a Bike - Primaris techmarine - 3x Intercessors Squads (two shooty, one choppy) - 2 x 3 BGV - 3 x Redemptor (probably all plasma) - Primaris Apothecary - 2 x 3 Outriders - 1 x 3 Eradicators Any thoughts?
  10. Anyone seen Emperor’s Champion rules? I haven’t seen much about him in the reviews yet
  11. It's 5++ invul/3+ transhuman army wide. Including vehicles. Confirmed. Well it seems like I found the perfect Vow for my Dreadnought+Terminator list, transhuman lite on every Terminator and an invulnerable save for every dreadnought? LETS FREAKIN GO!. This vow sounds amazing compared to the others. Redemptors are going to be brutal.
  12. Here's to trying to order while at work via my phone. Fingers crossed I don't end up on the "made to order" list. Mine says ‘pre-order’ does that mean I made the cut?
  13. It’s Saturday morning where I am. Pre orders in 40mins
