I've found if you use one of those tiny graduated measuring cups they use for things like cough syrup you can reclaim the dried up metal particles by mixing it with alcohol again. Mind you I had some trouble doing that last time I used it, but I put that down to not having painted for a year.

With a thread like this it's not the reading that's a chore, but simply moving from page to page! This past couple weeks or so in the hobby I've returned from a year long break and begun making serious inroads to a functional ravenwing army.

Today in the hobby I spent hours drilling barrels in the guns of 5 terminators, 30+ marines and 6 bikes.

I did that, but it didn't help. It wasn't until I built a time machine and burned down some library in Egypt that I felt well once more. Today in the hobby was day 3 of my assembling my first of the new tactical box along with some bits from the Ravenwing BK and DA company vet boxes.

Today I finished assembling my unpainted deathwing knights for glorious battle in the local escalation league. Tomorrow will be the first time in a month that I get to play, and their first battle. I half expect every army to include a bazillion grav guns with the release of C:SM.

The rough rider reminds me of Joust :D. Intentional? Also could you enlighten me what the phoenix project is exactly? Regardless your guys (and gals) look great. I can't get it out of my mind though that the guy with a cane is actually holding a pipe... -
First ever army for my first ever wargame. Inspiration is largely a pun on the Emperor Penguin and the low gothic name for the chapter would likely be the Emperor's Penguins (Aptenodytes is the genus the emperor penguin belongs to). The Deathwing and Ravenwing are inspired by the Belted Kingfisher and Bearded Vulture respectively.
