New paintscheme/chapter - the Ghost Bears or 'Draugabjörn'.

Ever seen video of a grizzly chasing down an elk? Like a flesh and blood bulldozer, running over trees and through dead falls the elk has to hurtle or dodge. Sneaking creatures to, if the accounts in my California Grizzly book are accurate. Early European explorers reported that if you shot one and didn't kill it, it would play dead. Once you go close it would stop feigning and charge, sometimes with other bears that were hiding in the chaparral. Good totem for a Space Wolf successor :D Brutal and cunning. If you go with Ghost Bear, are you going to have a Guard/Rasalhague Dominion side force? This name does have the best sound to me, even if already used in the BattleTech universe. -

Nice lookin group there. Almost enough to get me to look at some resin upgrades, now that I'm building again. I cant think of anything for that Deredeo that isn't ridiculously complex. What's in my head may work on a tank, bot sure about a dread though. Sorry partner- 1049 replies

I believe I know which dwarf heads your talking about. Someone on here uses them on their Cataphractii TDAWG.

Thank you. Don't know if I want to waste those upgrade arms to fix a basic gunman. Will stay away from reiver arms for this mix up. I added some primaris sergeant arms to my last order. Maybe I can chop one of those arms to fit the Dark Vengeance figure. They are an oddly cast set compared to boxed squad kits.

Has it really been two and a half years since I put razor to plastic? Took me a bit to find my own thread. Didn't realize it had been so long since I played with my 40k stuff. I should start having something to show again soon, have a pile of mk iv sprues, some bits from Pop Goes the Monkey, and bits from Ebay that I finally know what I'm doing with. Almost two years ago I left the flower business and went to work for the local saw mill at their wood waste burning power plant. I've been buying bits and had quite the stack of shipping envelopes piled up on my desk. Apparently I've been more focused on D&D and MTG than I'd realized. I really cannot express how much I enjoy going out for pizza and MTG on Tuesdays (when I'm on days, we flipped nights/days every three months). Playing cards with my old friends is something I missed very much. Unfortunately their age is starting to show. Age is the one opponent that beats everyone, just ask Thor. So back on track. I cleaned off my desk last night and opened my envelopes of bits. Was surprised at some of the contents, didn't remember ordering some of them. Sorted some things and set out the eleven primaris models I'd ordered. Thought there were just ten but found a lieutenant model among the bits. I assembled the ten Intercessors before my afternoon noon nap today (I'm on nights right now, get a full nights sleep Sunday night and a nap Monday afternoon before work. Only get two full nights a week with wife on this shift :( ). Guessing these came from the Dark Imperium set and were quite the puzzle to assemble with out any kind of guide. Either I screwed up somewhere or the seller mixed up the bits before shipping. When I got to the last model I found the the arms didn't match. Looking over the other nine I thought I found a mistake, but the last left arm didn't fit that model either. So now I've got nine completed Intercessors and a one armed marine. Not what i was expecting. Anyone have an idea for what kits I could get a substitute arm from? Didn't notice just Primaris gun arms on my favorite bits site. Saw Reiver arms, dont want to order any with out knowing if they're interchangeable.

Dont know if anyone one else has seen this, wish I had before I placed my order couple days ago. Looks like a way to add our young packmate to our forces and help other children. https://www.shapeways.com/shops/brand-s-great-company This shop is a memorial and remembrance for Brand, a 12-year-old Space Wolves fan who has lost his battle with cancer. Though his thread was cut, his Great Company continues to grow stronger each day. Are you ready to join the pack? #BrandsWolves #HowlForBrand All profits from the sale of these bits go directly to LATCH; an organization that supports the children and their families who are being treated by the Oncology Unit at the Children’s Hospital of Wales.

They're sadly out of print and hard to find. I've managed to scrounge up 7-8 lightly used ones. Each one was missing the meltagun and 1 or 2 other bits.
-
Just lost ;) TDAWG can swap their power weapon for a storm shield for free, both items being the same point cost. Of fourse your only weapon is now a storm bolter. I think storm shields and combi weapons are popular loadouts. You'll have to decide on plasma or melta being most useful.

I have 1 power armour pack that's fully magnetized, Wolf Lord's retinue so can be set up however. Five of my TDAWG have magnetized arms, only options so far are claws and axes. Dreads are good for magnets to allow for weapon swaps. On my infantry I think i use 3mm by 2mm. Holds TDA arms in place well. May be a little overkill for PA but they wont come apart . Not sure what I used on my Dreads.

Sure been awhile since I completed anything. Have assembled a couple Tartaros TDA and 1 Assault Marine. Thinking to turn my small pile of mkIV and Tartaros TDA into a small force using the Traitor Legions book using NL rules because i want bs4 Skyclaws and a leader with a heavy flamer. If we could just have some real shooting options on HQ units :( The army will also be legal to field as a Wolves force with a little shuffling. So this guy will be my HQ when using TL book or a TDAWG using our codex. Not sure if I think his combat weapon is over the top. The dual claw will be a counts as chain fist.

Anyone else on the forum in Humboldt County?

After that happened to me I left the can in the house to stay warm, it didn't help. Temp around my home is within 15 degrees Fahrenheit of 60 year round. Usually its between 60-65. Had thought it was the old grey can, but the new black did same even when stored in the warmer house :( Not sure what else unless its the humidity from leving next toba river a few miles from the Pacific.
