  1. Just updated my eBook copy of the Codex (Dec 11 version, apparently including the new FAQ & Errata updates). Most points costs now seem to match the ones shown in this thread: 40 point character thunder hammers, 1 point auto boltrifles, 11 point combi-plasmas, 20 point Frag Cannons, etc. Stormbolters for non-vehicle models are still listed at 4 points though: twin boltguns are 2, and so are vehicle stormbolters. It doesn't have the obvious misprints from Chapter Approved (31 terminators per unit, etc), but the Stormbolter cost is a bit of a pain. Can anyone with the Chapter Approved book confirm that the rumoured change (dropping to 2 points) for non-vehicle Stormbolters was correct? Otherwise, I guess I have a few less models to paint...
  2. My resolve to field a thunderhammer Captain is wavering, now I've realised the price difference from a Relic Blade (31 points) is enough to add an extra Terminator to one of my units... Or I could upgrade three stormbolters to combi-plasmas. Hmmm.
  3. Will anyone field a Thunder Hammer smash captain now? I only just built mine :D Still tempted to run him with Castellan of the Black Vault: 5 attacks on the charge dealing 4D each could make a lot of difference to a list that struggles to put down enemy vehicles. Did Frag Cannons come down in points as well? They've been mentioned in a couple of places, but weren't listed in this thread.
  4. I'm running a unit with shotguns, but it still feels like a hard sell compared to Stormbolters for a single point more. Stalker boltguns are great. They don't fit with the way I usually prefer to deploy and use Veteran units, but I have a combat squad of them to sit back and hold objectives with.
  5. This is the current iteration of mine - soon to have a different left arm, a servo skull, and a more slender weapon (planning to kitbash some Delaque weapon parts to try and make a stormbolter)... Ordo Xenos because this is a Deathwatch army, and the others don't feel appropriate. I'm going for a fairly cheap backfield support model: Black shroud for survivability, Hidden Knowledge trait to help generate some of the CPs my Deathwatch need to activate their tactics, and Psyker mostly for the ability to deny enemy powers. He'll live in the middle of the Stalker Boltgun / Heavy Bolter combat squad, parked on an objective. https://www.instagram.com/p/B5G8HqlHiYB/
  6. ...though it looks like maybe a White Scars (or successor) shoulder pad could be the way forward, based on this article :)
  7. A few changes to the posture of a regular titan can make a big difference. This is my most chaotic Vulpa Reaver - the neck is from a Hellbrute waist, with some Hellbrute shoulder armour to cover up the gaps at the sides. The spine/tail on the back is also from the Hellbrute kit - it fits nicely around the carapace weapon, giving the model a bit more of a scorpion feel (which seemed appropriate for a proto-Khornate war engine). https://www.instagram.com/p/B0Vz5jPH0pZ/
  8. Demi-Legio? That comes up a lot in Titandeath, when a Legio splits its forces.
  9. I think it would be easy enough to make stats for larger or smaller beasts - the Scale is the important part. The Scale 2 ones in the scenario could easily go on 32mm bases.
  10. Including them in a regular Marine detachment also looks problematic, as they'll prevent your other marines from using their <CHAPTER> bonus. It looks like they'll either need to be in a standalone detachment, or taken in a mixed detachment with other <IMPERIUM> units instead.
