Aye, I was actually thinking of starting a club for the old hammerers. Guess you would be interested? Im up to my knees in 1st/2nd ed stuff since I kicked 9th to the kerb where it belongs and would be nice to bounce ideas off other people instead of hoping frater randomly stumble across my oldhammer thread.

I think you may have my mate Doogie on facebook, hes a big fists player, not sure if hes up to scratch with current edition though, not spoken to him much recently about current 40k. It might be worth picking his brains.

Dug out the rest of my French sprues, time to build more bloody infantry. All I seem to be doing these days is building meatshields, still the sooner I do it then the sooner it will all be over. Then I get to make the Chaos allies to the French renegades. But Ill worry about that at a later date, I dont want to get ahead of myself and start things before Im ready.

For the mud I tried out that fancy Vallejo thick mud stuff all the cool kids use these days, cant believe Ive spent so long messing about with sand and paint trying to get the bases looking right when all I had to do was slap on what looks like chocolate spread mixed with tobacco. So much easier, Im never using sand again. Ngl my monkey brain did kick in and I tasted the mud, its not very nice.

++EDIT++ So I did a thing with some French, looks like a Renegade Guard regiment is on the horizon. These were actually built for a game called The Last War (Im updating my blog in my sig with non GW stuff if anyone wants to learn more), but I thought I may as well carry on and build another Guard regiment because WW1 Brits and WW1 and WW2 themed Germans and Penal Legion are clearly not enough. The Devil makes work for idle hands it seems.

We have already had Chaos Orks and Chaos Stealer Cults before in 1st edition, and Chaos worshiping Eldar do exist in the lore as well as mentioned above. Would be nice to see them back again,

I know what you mean about cash being tight, Im debating selling pictures of hairy hobbit feetsies Im that broke. Tbh my knowledge of French tanks is slim, but I have something in the pipeline with my excess WGA WW1 French so Im gonna need some tanks for them and your right, the Char B1 is a beaut, Im glad you mentioned that one. Have you thought about the Bren carrier? I got one for my Krieg to use as a Centaur but that would make a cute little Ork vehicle with a bit of work. If you ever do anything with a Sherman, I have the perfect crewmembers to use. It may be worth looking in charity shops, I used to work in one and they always got half built kits donated, often incomplete, and they went straight into the bin because they were unsellable. I ended up getting tons of stuff for a few quid so it may be worth having a word with staff about it if you have anything like that near where you live. Also worth checking ebay, I have found a few kits there way cheaper than actual online suppliers. Any idea what scale King Tiger would be needed for the turret to look right on a Baneblade?
