  1. Difficult to tell tone by writing: are you making fun of LSM's spelling? Cos' thought it was a rather clever play on phoenix/ phonic (ie synonym to sonic) Edit: sorry just saw the later posts XD
  2. We do agree it would be wrong for only feminine presenting models to wear fetish-like gear, don't we? It would be wrong to sexualise the representation of only one gender in our little plastic toys, right?! We are in agreement on this point, aren't we?! Custodes armour isn't skin tight and form fitting though? It's power armour.
  3. @Robbienw do Imperial Knights and Titans have different models depending on if their pilot is masculine, feminine or non-binary? Well no they don't, because they're mechs. OK, so what is power armour if not a miniature mech? We've seen how much extra kit and layers of armour go into space marine armour, so it stands to reason Custodes power armour is similar, but also bespokely fitted for each individual wearing it, even more so than space marines. You design the exterior to provide the best protective qualities, and the interior to provide the best fit: no reason they should look particularly different from the outside.
  4. This is also a good point - not only does including women in the Custodes not make them any less masculine coded, but the Sisters of Silence don't really embody many traditionally feminine values. The only tangible way they reflect the feminine experience is ironically how they are "silenced", which is apparently a poignant metaphor for how women are treated in some hobby circles...
  5. This is awesome! Finally a faction my girlfriend could be interested in playing! I already have 5 Custodes and 5 Sisters of Silence from the Prospero boxset. The plastic jetbikes are gorgeous... yeah, I could see us expanding into a kill team or combat patrol of Talons
  6. For the jump lord, how about angling the whole model forward as if he's leaping forward from a rock, a bit more like haarken?
  7. Same with the Striking scorpions being sold by 10 for Kill Team (even in standalone boxes), with 2 times 3 sprues
  8. Red Corsairs armyset with updated Huron, Bikers, Huntmaster/Biker Lord and Red Corsair upgrade sprue when?
  9. Oh! From the picture I assumed that the Power Armour Lord would get a jump pack option, my bad! For the daemon prince, I'd say its a different type of being (for one it's a monster more than Infantry, and then the ascended person retains full control over their body, unlike a possessed marine where power is shared with a warp entity), but its certainly open to interpretation
  10. I had been thinking along these lines also since Valrak's rumour mentions the PA lord is in a "Daemon" themed box - i take that to mean possessed and Warp Talons, so it would also make sense for the Lord to be linked in model and game terms On the other hand (hehe) it's just as likely its a powerfist.
  11. If we have started painting the Organisation before the event started (in part as a test for the colour scheme), can that be used for the second Gauntlet? Do the models have to be disassembled before the event/2nd challenge starts? Does the force have to be a single organisation, or could it be a Crusade force of multiple organisations? Eg: - I have 1 unit of intercessors that has nearly been completed, is it eligible - I have a unit of hellblasters that are assembled and base coated in a previous colour scheme (and will be repurposed for my new chapter): are they eligible despite being already being assembled - I have some Vanguard primaris that I wanted to paint as a different chapter (though same Crusade force). Are they eligible?
