  1. The idea of running a no-HQ vet-only army is appealing to me esp when all the Vet Sgts in those squads would jump up to 3W and get +1 in a stat you specialize the squad in. Vets being WS5 does mean you can get a WS6 3W vet sgt which could be something. The +50pts to give a vet squad Heart and Fury of the legion sounds great but Fury only works on regular bolters so no double-tapping Nemesis-Bolters meaning only Heart of the Legion is really useful when accompanied by an Apoth for a 4+ FNP vet squad on objectives. Another benefit being more elite slots. Main downside is still being 3+ T4 so rather easily deletable by S8+ and/or Ap3 and lower
  2. They essentially are already equipped the same so just...change the head and thats it.
  3. I thought the SL list was capped at 3 different legions in the same list; so you can have a 20man squad with 1 guy from every legion + 2 guys who double up another
  4. So we *are* getting a weapons kit for Blackshields, judging by this image.
  5. Ive heard of Plastic Thallax being a thing right around when HH2.0 leaks began happening but havent seen definitive proof
  6. the problem was, unless you wanted to have each leg essentially in 2-3 individual parts, you cant injection mold the overlapping plates in one go which is why it was fine on the back of the Mk III leg since it was only one 'face' that had the element not a full, cylindrical, element.
  7. Would defo paint it to be closer in appearance to a Cameleoline cloak than a standard "Im in charge" cloak
  8. Make sure you keep the box in case you ever need to pack it up to move or if you sell it.
  9. Also had a standard backpack as well which we also never got since the Moritat only ever comes with the JP Tangent but: the only real legion that benefitted (and thats an insane stretch lmao) from BP Moritats was IF since it gave him +1BS boosting it up to 6 meaning he hit on 2s re-rolled 1s and hit again on 6s giving you REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY long odds of continuing your chainfire since, before it got reworked, it had no limit on the number of shots so theoretically it gave you marginally better odds of getting "Infinite hits, infinite wounds" The iconography is minimal enough (mainly a right shoulder Legion Icon and painted iconography in red) that one can easily use him as a more rugged/shamanistic librarian with minimal modification.
  10. Short answer: no; the only instance of a model being able to shoot at the terrain and not a specific target is the Warlord Titan in HH1.0
  11. We're highly unlikely to ever get an actual, conclusive, official response because the point of the 2 lost legions, for GW anyways, is to be a way for you to insert "your dudes" into the setting without issue. Also something something Lost Roman Legions, something something intrigue and its fun to speculate with others.
