  1. Very insightful comment, would love to see your example. Don't use Veterans either since they are so overused.
  2. Thankyou Uveron for taking the time to put this Tale together! I probably won't be able to live up to the pace and standard already set (lol) but I will give it my best shot... After the last Tale I have had a bit of a break, I did put the majority of my planned force together however (minus one Dreadclaw). For this Tale I will focus my efforts on Fulgrim and his Phoenix Guard, set in no particular time during the Heresy, although they are rather uncorrupted so lets say IstvaanV-esque. This force will compromise of : Fulgrim Phoenix Champion "Praetor" (for when Fulgrim is overkill) Brotherhood of the Phoenix "Chaplain" Ten man Phoenix Terminator squad with a Kharybdis Assault Claw Five man Terminator squad with a Dreadcalw Another five man Terminator squad with a Dreadclaw Six man Jetbike squad Another six man Jetbike squad and a pair of Javelin Attack Speeders. Given that this is a relatively small 'elite' force, I will probably also branch out to some Sons of Horus Veterans if and when time permits. My plan is to tackle this army in three phases, first being the Terminators and Fulgrim, this allows me to play Zone Mortalis games in the mean time which is always good. Phase two will be the "Speeder Corp." which is the 12 Jetbikes and Javelin duo, finally Phase three will be the Dreadclaw pair and Kharybdis. To start, here are my assembled and primed Terminators so far. For the first month I will work on Fulgrim as I have quite a bit going on that will restrict my time. I am impressed already by the commitments shown, lets see that enthusiasm continue!
  3. Ace bro! Having a similar issue with my own Dreadclaws, the fins seem like the only place to fit iconography but then that leaves you with the issue of doing a handful or doing symbols on every single fin...something like ten medium sized symbols which might be pushing the transfer sheet to its limit. Keen to see more!
  4. Your Wolves all look wonderful Dantay! That Mastadon looks like a pig to assemble, a friend of mine has one for his Fists and he has a similar experience to you; curved hull and big BIG gaps. Keen to see it finished up man!

  6. Sounds like RnGesus was on your side man, how was the Veteran squad equipped?
  7. Looking boss Duskraider! I have to disagree with your assessment of the Spawn, he looks EXACTLY like a Blanche miniature. Its the mix of colour pallet and not overwhelming the model with cartoony features and colours that defines him.
  8. I'm actually really excited to try this out now! Made a list up for funsies and all, mass infantry is definitely something I don't see very often in 30k...usually bulk tanks (of which I am also guilty) or lots of flyers, so this would clear the slate for us.
  9. Cool, thanks for the links. I have never heard of the podcast before so I will have to check it out!
  10. I have heard bits and pieces about a "Centurion-mode" that limits armies to mainly infantry and walkers, sounds like a fun way to de-escalate alot of the big guns my gaming group are used to. Does anyone have any information on where I can find the rules for this and has anyone had any first hand experience playing 30k this way?
  11. Just wanted to let anyone on these boards from Perth know that there is a 40k/30k tournament this coming weekend down in South Perth, at Outpost 6030. I will be playing on the Sunday with my Sons of Horus, would be good to see some of the locals form B&C come down and check the event out.
  12. After Istvan Fulgrim uses the anathame. Horus gave it to him. When I run Fulgrim, especially vs another primarch, I usually ask whether I can run Fireblade rules on him, counting as the anatheme. That's a great point, have you modeled him differently too? What does the Anathame look like? Or is it the corrupted dagger that wounded Horus?
  13. Yea I can't deny that man, I wonder how this is treated in a tournament setting? I plan on having my own EC army ready for a tournament later this year and using Fulgrim...of course Fireblade would be a better option for all the Custode armies that have popped up recently, but I wonder if the same players would dispute the use of Fireblade.
  14. Ferrus destroyed Fireblade when Fulgrim tried converting him to the Warmasters side, he then reforged it for his battle against Fulgrim on Istvaan V....atleast I'm pretty sure he did. I could see the now-corrupted Fulgrim taking Fireblade from Ferrus' headless corpse, seems justification for Fireblades use during the Heresy. Edit: All those Fs almost made for a tongue twister
