Veteran Sergeant Ezekiah of the Angels of Vengeance, 3rd company/7th squad seconded to Task Force Caliban's Wrath. He commands 9 jump pack assault intercessors. They are a very hard-hitting squad that refuses to yield ground to the enemy and will go eagerly and almost insanely face to face with any threat on the battlefield!

I just saw that in my many DA decal sheets going back to 8th edition. There are numerous ones, not sure which edition, that had a red sword pointed down with "Lieutenant" under it.

What I learned with this guy is that for doing Dark Angels with robes/tabards/hooded heads once you get those parts painted with variants of a bone/tan color, the last thing to do is greatly thin down some Agrax Eartheshade and go over all of those parts. What I've been finding is when you finish the bone colored parts they are so bright and any slight shade parts are non-existent, and the look too bright and clean too. So going forward if I have any of those the final step will be applying a greatly thinned down Agrax shade. I'm also very happy using the Army Painter Fanatic range of greens appropriate for Dark Angels. I always base in GW Caliban Green, but that's it for GW paints. Also over the last month I switched to Army Painter Fanatic metallics and I love them!

For Iron Hands its image and chapter culture. As said before, lots of bionics. Ranging from just the standard hand or hands, to legs, half heads, arms, etc. The culture is how they approach war: Cold, efficient, very focused and mechanical also ruthless in battle and very hard to overcome. I also think if you're cool with those established aspects they are one of the best "blank slate" established chapters in existence! Also the latter really defines how the Iron Hands exists and interacts with other factions in the Imperium. It's a pretty clear definition of how they are. If you're into it then IMO it's very appealing. I'm not big on a knobbed war club per say, but hey it's 40k, a hearty mix of sci fi with some fantasy and all of it covered with a hefty syrupy layer of grim darkness! if I played Iron Hands I'd definitely run him WITH his 40k Tetsubo!

Hey all. I visit Etsy regularly just browsing the 3rd party stuff for various space marine chapters. Lately I've been looking for decals for various second or further founding chapters of the Dark Angels. I noticed much of it is gone from Etsy. I know Etsy supposedly was cracking down on IP violations, and I also know that GW has recently released their IP legal department to crusade around for a bit threatening to sue or a swift $10-20k payoff? ... it seems both of those combined have really done work on removing many of the decal makers from Etsy. Granted I have not used eBay to look for any yet? I did look at Fallout and Forgotten Chapters and they're still grinding along with some but not always the ones I'm browsing for .... You guys noticing this too? In the past it was great that there were at least a wide array of various decal sheets for sale so you could do a wider variety of marine chapters. Now it seems not so much.

I don't normally post unpainted models but I was pretty stoked with this veteran intercessor sergeant kit-bash. I use my intercessors all the time, so he will get painted and he will get used! I used an ICC kit, the older primaris Dark Angels upgrade sprue, and I'm not 100% sure on the slung bolt rifle bits? Either a Sternguard kit or Intercessor kit?
