Lucio's Achievements

  1. WW1 BiPlanes were all different colours in the German army, each pilot painted their own colours to act as a personal heraldry, at least in Baron Richthofen's unit
  2. I think it could work, definitely needs a head swap and I'd suggest considering either a weapon swap, or find a way to push the arms
  3. Actually in Mechanium it is discribed as a beam, through which Mars passes. However, frankly, it's magic, it just works :)
  4. Kromlech's stuff is always a good buy, they do have some Chainswords as well in their range
  5. Keeper of Secrets I'd take the limbs from a Cygor and combine with the Aleguzzler Gargant fkr the long, slender legs. The belly needs sawing off and 4 new breasts scultped into place with greenstuff.
  6. Very cool pictures so far! I'll just leave this here for inspiration :)

    Dr Orkenstein

  8. I'm a sucker for Horde armies, Orks, Infantry only Space Marine lists, Genestealer cult etc. I generally have a stupid amount of unpainted stuff Main motivation for me for Orks was simple, they're really really silly, you're literally putting models on and taking them off in minutes but when the dice go your way, boy do they hit hard As for quick painting techniques, I do Fleshy bits (Castallan Green, Camoshade wash, drybrush with Lorean Forest), that takes about 30 minutes for 10 usually because there's only 3 large areas of flesh on an Ork (arms, face and neck) Rest of the miniature gets metal or leather (Leadbelcher or Steel Legion Drab, wash with Agrax Earthshade, and then drybrush with Leadbelcher or Scyorax Bronze or Balthasar Gold for metal, or Karak stone for leather Finally detail the fangs, nails, eyes and pick out some of the rivets or plates in gold or your clan colour. 10 Ork Boyz can be as little as 3 hours if you're not too fussed, but once you've done the first stages, the detailling really tends to draw your attention in.
  9. Kromlech do a good set of Power Glaives which work nicely in Space Marine hands. Otherwise Grey Knight or Adeptus Custodes halberds with maybe an end swap for a broad headed spear (Glade guard or similar)
  10. Actually my force really isn't a Deathguard army, it's intended to be a Nurgle daemon army. Not even sure if I'll include any Plague Marines at this stage, may just stick to choices with either Daemon keyword or Poxwalkers However, having a detachment with the Deathguard keyword opens up some useful Stratigies, so thematically I'll have a Deathguard Daemon Prince or Deathguard sorcerer on a plannequin leading one detatchment. I also toyed with the idea of fielding 3 daemon princes, having them as a rare set of tripplets inducted into the Deathguard,
  11. They're all very pigment heavy paints. Mix in a little Lahmia Medium into the pot directly and shake them up well, as Grotsmasha mentioned, an aggitator like a ball bearing will help.
  12. Decided to start a new army this year, and since Nurgle's popularity is on the rise, I've joined in. The aim of my army is to use the majority of the force for both Age of Sigmar and WH40k, so is going to be a very daemon heavy force, featuring a lot of conversion work to give a feel to the model's that fits both games. For example, my Plaguebearers are going to be kitbashed with Dryads to pick up the theme of the Garden of Nurgle, but then feature metallic components within their composition. What Daemon units from the DEathguard codex do people recomend at the moment?
  13. I wouldn't, a Land Raider really is wasted as a transport unit, it's better off acting as a bulwark to your forces, blocking line of sight and putting out a lot of firepower.
