  1. Unnofficial "Eye of Horus Podcast" rules, but the premise is sound. You've been out of the game for while!
  2. Nothing, but if someone hadn't pointed it out before you played a game, you might have been caught with your pants down. Your plans look good otherwise. Assault Squads are much more survivable now that they can get FNP!
  3. If you take a Demolisher Vindicator, you want to be able to move with with! A dozer blade and Machine Spirit are much more useful than armoured ceramite. And you don’t really need 3 Tactical Squads. I would drop one and use the points for the following upgrades: - dozer blades on all your Tanks (except the Scorpius). A measly 5 points that allows you to safely get through terrain 97% of the time! - multi-meltas on the Rhinos. With only a combi-bolter, they are completely unthreatening. But put a S8 anti-Tank weapon on it and your opponent will need to deal with it! - add artificer armour on all your Sergeants, and if there is any points left, maybe chainswords on the volkite charger Support Squad. Iron Hands need a buff in combat. Apart from that, looks pretty good! :)
  4. Yeah, agreed. You could easily drop 5 Breachers from each unit, and even a few Terminators - S5/T5 makes everything massively tougher/fightier, so you won’t need max-sized units. And if you are going for Chymeriae Breachers (that like to get charged), why take Pariah bolters that are only useful when charging? I’d stick to standard bolters and take Pariah flamers for special weapons - much more effective. Giving the Leviathan a pod is really helpful, but the problem is that Blackshields need to take a Kharybdis (Limited Resources rule). Alternatively, taking a storm cannon (with your volkite) helps it a lot, as it has more ranged threat. Definitely give the Apothecaries artificer armour (better 10 points than a power sword if you need one or the other). A dozer blade on that Spartan will be the best 5 points you ever spend, trust me. Your Castellax are kitted out a bit more than I like. I’ve crunched the numbers and ETAs are not actually worth the cost. Your loadout is also a bit unfocused - long-ranged anti-Tank with short-ranged anti-Infantry. I’d go for Maulers, flamers & power blades for melee, or just Darkfires for ranged. If you want to push the prohibited weapons, why not take a Siege Breaker instead? Then you can grab some (admittedly OP) phosphex Quad Lauchers or Land Raider Achilles...
  5. You can only take human Psykers in a Militia force, but they're Rogue Psykers as part of a Chaos cult - definitely not Loyalist! Yeah, Aetheric disruption does work pretty well with the Sisters! Good luck with this project!
  6. Great concept! Definitely filing it away for future use. :) I can’t work out exactly when the Astra Telepathica was made an Adeptus, but that shouldn’t change anything. Talons of the Emperor is definitely one option for your Primary Detachment. They are very flavourful and solid force, even without using Custodes. Take Jenetia Krole - she is so good! Work out what Sisters of Silence units you want, but note that you can only take 3 units per Sisters HQ. You’ll have take your Navigator as 1 of your 3 HQs too, limiting you to 6 Sisters squads. Alternatively, you could take Solar Auxilia as Primary to represent Black Sentinels. Take a Lord Marshall and Veletaris Storm Sections with power axes - model them with their obsidian breastplates and power lances. Gives you more unit choices (tanks, flyers, etc.) and Sisters are ideal as allies (1 HQ and 3 units in Acquistors). Actually, I think this way works much better. Here’s a list!
  7. Yes, but it’s the worst Consul of the lot. A Chaplain is the same price, but comes with a power weapon and has Zealot & Fear. Much[i/] better than WS6, master-crafting a weapon and having to issue/accept challenges.
  8. Well, I think that the Xana Incursion counts as Legion fluff. It’s an epic story about Sons of Horus, Loyalist Blackshields posing as Sons of Horus, Knights Errant, Dark Angels AND Mechanicum.
  9. I think it is generally believed so. It makes Custodes even more offensive than they were, given all their grav-tanks can Jink and still shoot a weapon at BS5. It always used to. Hopefully FW will answer it in their FAQ. Until then, easiest thing to do is use the 7th Edition FAQ as a guide.
  10. Sons Vets are BS5 with Assault Weapons within 12”. Which means all the time for volkite chargers.
  11. Why is World Burner so lauded for the Death Guard? Grave Wardens and Deathshroud have chem-munitions, and that gives them Shred already. Am I missing something?
  12. Thirded. Autek Mor & Clan Morragul on the Red Talon is right up there with my favourite FW fluff. My other favourite is the Ebon Drake saga, eg. Cassian Dracos and Co.
