  1. Took a couple cool shots of the boys, thought you all might like them:
  2. Took a few cool shots of the boys the other day: I'm happy, the MkII fits right in! Thanks man! I tend to over weather my models but god I love the way it looks hahaha Thanks for stopping by!
  3. Great contributions everyone, Here's my latest truescale:
  4. Alright everyone, here he is! My first "historically accurate" truescale MkII! I am overjoyed with how this model came out, it is truly the culmination of everything I have learned thus far in converting, sculpting, and kit bashing Warhammer miniatures. When I came back to the hobby a few years ago, creating a model that accurately reflected the beautiful art of Warhammer was always my ultimate dream. This week I've come closer to that dream than I ever have before and I am honestly sentimental. Thank you all for going on this ride with me, I look forward to showing you many more of these guys in the future! Little scale shot for you Thanks for stopping by everyone!
  5. Looking really good man, you are certainly doing justice to those beautiful Auxilia sculpts. I love how you've weathered the Carnodon in particular. I am looking forward to an army shot when you finish the infantry!
  6. More Progress, almost there! Thanks man, yeah I'll have to scrounge around for more of those- I have a few Iron Hands head conversion ideas in mind!
  7. While all legions had this to some extent, the White Scars had alternative schemes in spades. For much of their pre-primarch history, the Scars were a disparate collection of companies scattered to the forefront of the crusade with all sorts of different markings and colorations. There is no doubt that even after the Khan returned some of these traditions remained in many of the brotherhoods. In Malevolence there is even a WS legionaries in urban camo, so yeah! Go for it!
  8. Progress in between life events! Still working on the painting (funny enough, I forgot to buy matt varnish so I am waiting for that to come in the mail right now) but I did a test fit with a primaris head and it actually worked really well with the scale. Unfortunately I think most resin heads will be a tad too small, I'll just have to add a bit of 30k to the primaris stuff: Also here is a shot of the upscaling I did on the backpack (I have since fixed the uneven top): Thanks man, same here! Thanks man! Yeah, from some angles the hands do look a bit small but I am trying to err on the side of caution with this stuff. I would rather them be a bit smaller and emphasize the size of the armor rather than be too large and risk looking cartoony. As for the bolter, I went with a modest upscaling and I am pretty happy with how it came out: Thanks for stopping by everyone!

  11. Painting has begun! I'm going to use this opportunity to do a little Iron Hands paint scheme tutorial so keep an eye out for that in a couple weeks. I've settled with a very mild lengthening of the weapon for this miniature at least, but I'm still not sure what I'm going to go with as I continue to make more. I'm definitely going to keep them on the smaller side though. Here's a wip: Thank you kindly brother!
  12. Exxxxtra wide backpack incoming! Question for you all: what do you guys think about the bolter size? I'm down with it looking smaller (I think they are grossly oversized in the standard miniatures) but do you think I need to upscale it a bit? Thanks man! I'm actually thinking about sculpting the armor plates separately then affixing them to the MkII like they do in the lore. I don't know how feasible that is yet but I think it has potential. Thank you! I appreciate it
  13. Thanks man! Oops, I forgot to post the one with the Terminator!
  14. Since I returned to Warhammer, It has been a dream of mine to sculpt and cast my own set of truescale MkII armor. It's absolutely surreal to see it finally coming to fruition. It's working! And it looks like the art! This is everything I planned and nothing I even thought to hope for. I can't lie to you all right now, this has been the highlight of my time in the hobby thus far. For years I've been planning and gathering art and technical knowledge to make this feasible. It feels as though every project I undertook helped my learn a skill that I would need in this undertaking. I'm sorry for getting so sentimental about this, I'm just really :cussing happy with how it's all coming together. Here are a few wips, Please note it is certainly not done and I'm planning on using an altered Lorgar backpack instead of the orignal MkII Alright Forgeworld, I'll just make my own MkII! Obligatory scale shot. This pulls my power armor into the same scale as my terminators. It has always bugged me that my termies were anatomically larger than my standard troops. This never made sense as the armor should make the bearer bulkier, not stretch their legs and what not. Thank you! I'm glad you appreciate it! Hopefully I'll get some time this Sunday for some display painting! Thanks for stopping by everyone
