  1. There were roughly 15-20 copies up for grabs over here at WHW this morning, but aye certainly there were people arriving at the early hours before dawn who didn't get lucky but still spent a number of hours outside the gates.
  2. Entertained to see Typhon usurping Mortarion for the top spot He is after all the real Legion Master...
  3. You should tell that to the resellers :P About 75 listings on ebay last I saw, lots of them from resellers primarily dealing in limited edition clothing or shoes. Luckily no-one seems to have bought any of the listings yet, but it's a bit irritating that now popular 'flipping' channels/figures have noticed and talked about Black Library books as a good one to flip, more and more people are going to be doing this every release. I spoke too soon, first one's been sold :'(
  4. I'd assume book 3 will be dealing with Drach'nyen and the first Black Crusade, somewhat capping the trilogy (if it's stopped there) at three books detailing the legion wars leading to the conception of the Black Legion, its formation, and then the true start of the active portion of the Long War.
  5. Oh this is going to be a hard one, I was so pleasantly surprised by a fair few of the releases this year. I've not been keeping up with the Siege series so that rules Echoes out, and equally as Aramis says it's a damn shame Twice Dead King didn't slip in (though maybe given the sheer amount of great competition that has some benefits at least). I've narrowed it down to a few choices, which can be broadly divided into the categories of 'I wasn't sure when going in if it'd be my sort of thing, but goddamn this was a great read' - Kingmaker, Ghazgkull' and 'knew/hoped this was going to be a great one from the start, but it certainly lived up to it' - Dark City, Sanguinius.
  6. Looks like a full leak of the epub on one of the telegram channels, not an early sale
  7. He lost firing protocols in one of the recent errata's I think it was intended to let him use his Battlesmith(2+) as well as firing the Logos in the same turn, but given firing protocols specified 'this rule...only applies if the model is equipped with more than one weapon', I'm not sure if RaW it worked as I assume it was meant to.
  8. Rad grenades explicitly do alter the ID threshold, while they're in effect. I'm planning on trying out an evolution of the power maul + rad tactic at some point but with chainglaives, since they have S+2 and breaching(6+) to hopefully help get around 2+ saves a bit, but aye the issue otherwise is, iirc, that there's only one generic multi-wound 3+ save unit out there - veterans.
  9. I guess if you're close to wiping out a squad in combat, and don't wanna be left out in the open at the risk of a nasty melta volley or the like to the face, maybe?
  10. The Medusan Immortals thing has been a noted issue since the liber's leaked - if they take the bayonets, they cannot use them. It might get FaQ'd, it might not, though it was one of the first issues I remember being brought up so will hopefully be on the list.
  11. As always, loving the tones you use on the blue and gold, but I definitely see your issue - it's all just weirdly blending together almost imo. Out of the options you've outlined I'd probably echo NoFoesRemain with heavily shading certain parts of the blue, but alternatively have you considered just having the crescent pieces black, while leaving the 'underpad' blue? To me it feels like those crescent pieces are the main offenders in having the blue all blend together, providing as they are a sort of link between the underpad, arms and torso. Just the crescents may provide a lesser alternative to your #3, but even that entire plan I think would work well - the seekers main 'standout' is the helm and prominent main shoulder pad. Without the helm being black, and with the main pads covered with other colours, I think any similarities should be easily avoided.
  12. Fairly significant Dark Eldar shenanigans and plot continuations, mainly focused on the events from the first book. I can give a brief rundown in spoilers, but would recommend reading it instead ofc :D
  13. Whew, just finished it and boy was it a wild ride, but gotta agree with the Frater's above and say it's an outstanding end to the trilogy - would highly recommend.
  14. They're technically in artificer, but Ultra Suzerains can take all hammers - though their legatine axes are pretty decent already, and are held in the right hand. Can't actually think of any other non-terminator units off the top of my head that can all take hammers.
