MyD4rkPassenger's Achievements

  1. So it may be just me, but does the studio scheme for the NL have a different edge highlight color now? I've grown partial to it in all of the preview pictures and I'm trying to figure out what exactly it is.
  2. You want to convert a new EC for a revival crusade but don't have the heart to destroy the original sculpt for the Black Sword.
  3. If I remember correctly the Heldrake has a fear aura, although I cannot remember the specifics.
  4. I don't know if I will use the rules for the new executioner model...but a helmet swap and a quick change to a chainglaive and that is one sinister exalted champion or chaos lord to me!
  5. Since this was designed as a generalist detachment usable by anyone, I get that it doesn't do much more than we already do. I think the problem is they overestimate the usefulness of jump models with one attack that get only get a single extra attack from their weapons. My two raptor squads and warp talon squad don't do much more than distract my enemy before the terminators, oblits, and berzerkers do the actual work. Oh well, at the end of the day I won't have to buy new models or completely re-write my list so I'm seeing it as a net positive in the end.
  6. I suspect no if the one showcased today in the Iron Warrior Spotlight wasn't specific to them. The only two of the four mentioned so far that were specific were the Fallen and Bringer's of Despair ones.
  7. They mentioned in the article on Sunday that there will be a "terror causing Host Raptorial" detachment. I'd bet most of my collection that we'll see some previews of that tomorrow considering it hit the two main GW buzzwords for our legion I am considering getting Haarkan for a Claws of the Black hunt lord conversion but generally prefer my terminator lord. If this host raptorial requires a jump lord, than I can't think of a better base model.

  9. When a fellow player mentions they keep losing their magnetized boltguns, your first response is to chain it to the wrist.
  10. My friends know I pretty much only play mono-Custodes now and asked me this exact question. Considering Custodian guard are 52 points and 59 with spear/shield respectively in 40k, and a tac marine is 13 in 40k and 12 in KT, I think to have a "fair" Custodes list you'd have to break the 3 model rule and just have two Custodian Guard. They would be wildly overpowered in this setting with a 2+ save, T5, 3 wounds, and a 4++. This is before their 2+ BS/WS and their AP -1 2D rapid-fire spear in the shooting phase. Factor in the 6+++ against the only thing that can reliably hurt them from only two warbands and I just think they are incredibly strong. I don't even want to imagine a Sentinel blade/shield guy with zealot/combat either, or the fact they'd probably have trans-human physiology on steroids. For narrative missions I'd say go wild, but three Custodian Guard will rightly massacre anything your friends throw at them, I have no qualms with them being left out honestly.
  11. As a chaos player I always remember mindshackle scarabs ruining all fun I had with special characters, so I guess any overlord with them and a warscythe if we're being specific in my case. Wraithknights were fairly intimidating as well but I didn't experience them all too often.
