  1. I'm working on some Bullgryn, I am doing the yellowish/black hazard stripes on the shield edges. I have them base coated black / some form of yellow (picking up a project I started long ago). What is your go-to formula for the black / yellow stripes? Do you wash the yellow at all or just highlight it?
  2. I misspoke... I have a lot of the regular GW paints, not many contrast. This is what I came up with, it doesnt exactly match my priest grenades but I'm ok with it. I'm not sure what the base was, but I think it was deathworld forest Then nuln oil Then drybrush elysian green Going to do the metals next and grenades are finished Base + wash on right / base, wash, drybrush left

  4. I'm picking up painting some old guardsmen I had half done. I want to do the grenades in green, similar to this old one I painted: I had a text file of all my paint recipes but can't find it. I have almost all the GW green paints on hand. I remember it was basically just a base, the green GW wash, then a drybrush. Anyone able to help me out and figure out the dark green base / light green drybrush?
  5. I finished the first gretchin for my KT. I always hate how these things look when a picture blows up the details. The highlights dont look as crazy from 3 feet away :P This is the deathworld forest / biel tan wash / elysian / ogryn camo recipe. I wasn't sure what to go with for bases so I put it on a finished base I had lying around for my IG army. The green skin / city rubble base contrasts well, I think I'm going to use this type of base for the whole KT.

  7. Thanks for the info. I have been basecoating the Gretchin w/ deathworld forest for now. Still trying to figure it out. My KT is going to be Goff, I need to find out a good black cloth recipe for these guys. Kierdale, you do the washes after the base/highlights? I watched a few YT vids, this is one recipe for Gretchin I was looking at: Deathworld / Bieltan shade / Elysian / Ogryn Camo
  8. I am working on some Orks, I am not sure how I should do the skin colors. Are Gretchin normally bright green vs dark green for Boyz? Are Nobz normally darker/highlighted different from Boyz?
  9. I figured it out, its the right knee on the body that was making it dry fit weird. All the torsos seem fine. I found some blue tac and it lines up ok with at least two of the body/torsos. Just leaving a reply here in case someone searches w/ similar question in future.
  10. I'm building a couple of Nobz for kill team. I am trying to put together one with the kombi skorcha. I haven't started gluing anything yet, I am just figuring out what torsos I want w/ my kommando/combat guy/etc. While dry fitting, it seems like only some bodies/torsos work well with the skorcha. I was trying to get a pose like the manual where the skorcha is held vertically, but seems like some body/torso combos force the gun to be held up at a slight angle. The back of the skorcha bumps into the knee or belly plate etc. Is it just lining up weird because im trying to hold the pieces together and will line up better once I start gluing? I'm trying to find some blue tac but that isnt very precise either.
