  1. Finished my two Magos Dominus (Dominii? Dominuses?). The army is not finished but I've now painted all the (Mechanic in) models I currently own so that's satisfying. Been distracted with some AoS stuff but I will endeavour to get some Thousand Sons done soon.
  2. GW isn't cheap but I've always felt the value was there for me so I don't think I have ever not made a purchase because the cost was too high. My hobby budget is finite, however, so I have missed out on some things that were limited, made to order or retired because I have prioritised purchasing something else. I don't feel like that's quite the same thing as being priced out but it's still a little sad sometimes.
  3. Gaius Locus sounds like a legit 40K name. It's happening!
  4. I've been grinding away at several things in the background. Some painted, some primed and some just built. First off is my painted Karacnos. Pretty happy with it but the aerials have been snapped off three times already. Primed are my World Eaters Despoilers and Rampagers. And finally my built. My son (4) has recently started naming my models so the Dread is Shoulderpads and the Praetor is Mr Toilet. I am undecided on Legion for these but Mr Toilet is definitely giving Death Guard vibes.
  5. Really cool. I've always loved seeing tanks covered in dudes. It makes them really grounded and "lived in." Very nice work.
  6. Yeah, as predicted, Primaris and 40k Primarchs for me. Would have been much happier if they just made a new MK and told us they were rescaling. And for me the appeal of Space Marines in 40K was that they were the lesser sons of greater fathers, raging against the dying of the light with no real hope of succeeding. That's gone now, sadly. For those that enjoy the lore as it stands I am very happy for you, it's just not for me.
  7. Amazed you got hold of the battle group. They sold out seemingly instantly in Australia.
  8. I have always wanted an excuse to buy Belakor..... but then I will end up starting a Word Bearers army.
  9. As an Iron Warriors fan I would like to object to the use of a Warsmith in your conversion..... but that looks too good!
  10. @Pacific81I've been using Berzerker bits to kitbash my World Eaters and have trimmed a bit here and there but you are a madman! Well worth your efforts though, they are looking awesome.
  11. Lovely hobby everywhere Frater. Nice to see the Heresy love still strong regardless of 3rd contorversies. @Brother KraskorSaturnine dread looks great in your scheme. Did you pick up just the dread or the full box set? @GorgoffAre you building the Tormentor? Please tell me it's the Tormentor! I'm going to ignore the infantry and assume it's the Tormentor.
  12. Must have my stories mixed up because that was the image I was thinking of. I feel like it was faithful to the description but everyone is gonna have a different image in their head.
  13. He's always had that helmet/mask. It was illustrated in "The Iron Within" which was his first appearance, as far as I remember. Pretty sure it was a mask that he hammered onto his head so maybe he can't take it off!? In any case, lovely model. I hope GW make a version one day.
  14. I don't think allied detachments work. I started a little allied detachment of Mechanicum last edition. I've now bought about 2000pts worth. Sisters of Silence is tempting though. Just gonna hold out to see if they get any love when Talons get refreshed.
  15. Looking good. Good luck with the deadline.
