    As an appetizer for the event: I, Semper Fortis, vow to complete one Apothecary in Mk IV armor for the Glory of the Age of Darkness Loyalists on or by the 15th of August 2020, or bare the Badge of Shame until year's end. For the VIIth Legion! For Rogal Dorn! For the Emperor! And for the record, I haven't been slacking off this past week. I'm trying mightily to straighten some curves on a Caestus Assault Ram that are most definately not in the STC plans. That's going to be my next vow, may the Emperor protect my sanity.

    Cap'n, thanks for running yet another great event. My thanks, too, to Grotsmasha for his excellent graphics and to the whole Inner Circle for their support. The First always throws the best painting parties! :) Hey Cap'n, I was out of the loop for a bit and may have missed it, but is there any word/rumor/hints about an upcoming ETL? I'm working hard on my wrist physical therapy so I can get back up to speed on my painting.

    I tried to catch up on all the pics on this thread that I missed by being out of pocket. Ya'll are getting scary good! Wish I could give a bunch of likes but there is waaaaay too much awesomeness here. The Cap'n hasn't slammed the door on this thread yet so I guess I made the deadline. Here's the Deredeo, for what it's worth. I'm not happy with it but my busted up wrist did the best it could. Here's the group shot For the Emperor! Vow complete.

    I'm back. Messed up my dominant wrist and couldn't paint with the cast on. It bummed me out enough that I haven't logged on. Anyway, I'm back on track and finished my current project. Now I'm starting on the Deredeo and will have it done this week.

    I second what infyrana said. Save your neurons, get the odorless. ;) Oh man, I sooooo know that feeling. And for my part, I finished the smallest (literally) unit of my first vow. I submit to you the 2 newest Cyclops Demolition units for my Solar Auxilia engineers fresh from the Forgeworld. Their paint shines and there's hardly any rust on the treads. They'll look so beautiful as they explode these foul xenos into vapor. I love sieges! Pay no attention to their big brother. He's just for scale.

    LameBeard, my brother, have courage! You'll never know if you can do it unless you try. A few years ago I would have sworn I couldn't. You could try starting out with smaller chunks (e.g. go for the 5 man squad, not the 20). Emperor knows that the foul traitors can use all the help they can get. What's the worst that can happen? You don't get as much painted as you planned... but you still end up with some painted. Besides, you get to hang out here with us and we're ... uh ... special. Come on bro, give it a shot!

    I, Semper Fortis, vow by the strength of my legion, to paint the following: - Solar Auxilia Medusa (3 hp) - Solar Auxilia Cyclops Demolitions Unit x2 - VIIth Legion Deredeo with Volkite Falconets and Boreas Missles (3 hp) May Dorn guide my hand to victory! But should I fail, I face dishonor. For the Emperor!

    Looks like another chunky box in your future, Gederas. The Vindicators and the Contemptor-Mortis are 3 points each. But hey, you know you needed another tank or dread, right? ;)

    Narik looks good, Gederas! I have him in a box somewhere... you may have inspired me to finally drag him out and put some paint to him. Those look like some well used old workhorses to me. Don't make them too pretty. ;) And unlike my brother, okonomiyakimarine who knocked out six of the accursed drop pods, i apparently have no self-discipline and managed to not complete my vow. Hard to complete when I never actually started it. Ah well, it's the pain glove for me then. My legion suffers because the Medusa won't be delivered on time. Looks like I know what my January vow will be.

    I, Semper Fortis vow to paint one Solar Auxilia Medusa before month's (and year's) end. Failure to do so will result in feelings of guilt, shame, and inadequacy. Before pic up soon.

    So are we on for a December challenge? I'm sitting here with too many choices spread on my bench and dithering over what to paint. It would help if I knew whether or not we were doing Loyalty & Treachery again soon. Anybody heard any news? But no matter. I'll be ready to go when I hear the starting pistol... uh, bolter.

    Stru, so glad you got this rolling. You are my hero! I've had a bad enough case of the post-ETL blues that I haven't even been on here much and missed this thread. But I'm here now and you can count me in. Kinda late for a November vow, but I'll be all over it for December. Now to go pick through my stash and decide what to paint... *and she wanders of muttering to herself*
