Tallarn Commander's Achievements

  1. He looks great! Although if you are worried about the model being understated, perhaps adding a few daubs of various shades of rust-colored wash here and there might add more points of interest. Space Skaven are probably not known for keeping their equipment in pristine shape. Yes yes, rust rust.
  2. Congratulations! Your wedding miniatures are wonderfully painted, as always.
  3. Great work everyone! Hobbying is proceeding apace on my Call to Arms pledge, Yemelina's Lament, a counts-as Traitor Guard Defiler. Various pieces getting paint On the top left you can see a Leman Russ turret that I finished 5 years ago. It's there as a guide since this vehicel will be painted in the same color scheme. More Photos The next step...drybrush on metal and then add acrylic and oil rust colors.

  6. I agree. The blending on the black is sublime. Yes, a true black is hard to achieve. I achieved decent results on a Chaos Enforcer’s coat earlier this year by blending an acrylic dark grey up to a lighter grey and then adding some layers of a black oil wash. But it still looked a little too grey for me.
  7. That Tech Marine has some excellent conversions!
  8. The lore dump was fun to read. Thanks!
  9. Nice. I love your Rogal Malcadorn. And your Drilling heavy stubber looks great with the 3rd barrel. During casual games perhaps you could explain its WW2 origins to opponents and perhaps implement a house rule that it wounds flyers on a 2+.
  10. The shield generator looks excellent, not wonky at all. It provides an effective focal piece for the model.
  11. Hopefully your CSM took out Canis and Hector. They are rather annoying.
  12. This is a very creative theme for an army. Huzzah!
  13. These are outstanding, especially the attention to detail on the little things like the shell casings and banner.
  14. Whenever I go back and add weathering to Chaos Marines I’m always glad I did.
  15. This looks like a fun project. Are the front wheels from the Necromunda Ridgehauler?
