Whatever they do with custodes, I hope they make them more fun to play against. The games I've played against them have largely been miserable. It feels like they hit and wound everything on 2s and just kill anything they get anywhere near. I find Knights far more fun to play against which is odd I guess. I wish they'd not done custodes in 40k as it (to me) doesn't make sense why they'd be there. Heresy I get, but not 40k.

There's only about 365 combinations for the detachments so who knows.

Tau are supposed to be after custodes. Valrak iirc had said early 2027. If custodes drop November that makes sense as marines are October. We've still got the pre painted terrain plus the downed thunderhawk to drop yet too.

The Latin translates as in his name - custodes - 40k Flamey skull - legion of the damned kill team. Corpstarch - necromunda? More auxilia for heresy? Nehekara - old world? The runey/ ribband - new dwarfs - AoS. Squigs - something for blood bowl?

Nah, this way they can milk you for more cash. As with the separate ork releases, Armageddon really was a (relative) bargain box.

Judging by the responses in the Facebook group, we really didn't need convincing to buy them. The new ork kits are genuinely superb. The return of back plates on the Boyz is very welcome.

What do you mean? They're all on the same sprue. The greater surprise is the recut heavy Bolter eradicators. I wouldn't have expected the rest separately as per the last few editions of these sprues.

Respectfully, I'm not playing any games and as an ec player I love the book and the range. I genuinely love the fact it's a stripped back list of options. For orks the "analysis paralysis" is heavy as there's so much choice. I don't think I've ever grumbled about the ec range. I was simply stating that although the god legions share some units, their rules are different. I understand there's a lot of work to do for anyone that isn't death guard on the unique minis front. The only thing I'd like to see is a toned down defiler so that I could take two without breaking the points bank. The models are stunning and being largely restricted to one I find sad. Throw in the fact it was the only fire support really available for EC pushed us back into one playstyle really which is punching things. I've said before I'd take a weaker defiler with lower points but that's not where we're at.

They are as the EC units that aren't unique to them, are different to the other God legions as an ec maulerfiend is different to a TS mauler and so on.
