  1. Thank you kindly, that's muchly appreciated. Is yours on here? I have to say I had a blast building and painting it. Can't do this with any other army by comparison.
  2. If memory serves, the price on these last time was quite eye watering. It'll be "interesting" to see the prices as they're one guard regiment I keep looking at
  3. No worries. Having just looked again at the GW Canada and UK webstores, they're now not even showing. As such they'll be redone or gone. However, if you love the kit, if lootas do go you could run them as tankbustas instead.
  4. Honestly we don't know. Lootas/ burnas are as orky as boyz but all we know is the kit is currently not being sold online. I hope for a new kit rather than "legendsing" but currently we don't know.
  5. Not too long to wait and see. Boyz and grots are bread and butter so I do think we'll get the "Armageddon Boyz" in the core set and new combat patrol. With the codex I'm expecting Boyz, grots and lootas/ burnas as multipart. Beyond that I guess we'll see.
  6. We've had boxes of 10 Boyz for years now. If that remains the case and grots stay as units of 10 I don't think they'll box 20 boyz together as it's two units - the nobs can only be built as such. As for ages the policy is a box is a unit then it'd have to be 20 boys and 10 grots. I think more likely this is for core set and combat patrol. (Hopefully) And that we get a different box of Boyz. The lootas/ burnas box is "sold out online"" too so I think there's interesting times ahead.
  7. As the sprue is 10 orks + 5 grots I'm assuming/ hoping we get a multipart box separate from the core box/ combat patrol.
  8. That book looks like it has some heft, he could just chuck his book really hard at someone?
  9. I actually prefer the Warboss in Armageddon to the new multipart one.
  10. For what it's worth, apart from the time I ran green tide, I didn't run any boys. I'm generally running more stompas than Boyz. However, I'm not the strict target either. When I said infantry, I was being specific about boys and grots. With army building the way it is, no, you don't need more than 20 boyz/ 10 grots. Obviously you can take more. However you want 30, great, that gives you 15 grots due to sprue layouts. Doesn't work does it. The 2nd Ed box had 20 goffs and 40 grots. Solid start to a horde but not especially exciting. I understand what you're suggesting but I respectfully disagree. Ultimately it's not about what you like/ dislike. Wartrakk is arguably a more fun mini than 5 nobs. For expanding the box then you can get nobs and hopefully we see a new multipart box of them later in the year for bodyguard. Either way, as a self contained thing, it works and can be expanded on. Anecdotally I was watching the marine half of the unboxing and our son was very bored. I rewound to the orks and he was mesmerised. We really aren't the main intended market for this.
  11. The minis are organised on sprues as below: Eradicators + chaplain + ancient Boss nob + bannanob + painboy Warboss + captain Weirdboy Intercessors 2x 10 boyz + 5 grots Land speeder Wartrakk Vanguard vets + librarian Dakkarig Unsure what they'd put in for marines as presumably they'd have the intercessors but then I wonder if the eradicators + will be the new Honoured of the Chapter equivalent so intercessors, cap, Vanguard vets and Libby?
  12. Different perspective... Intercessors aren't exciting but I've still got the Leviathan half of marines. Add the Armageddon half to the Leviathan half which will give me roughly 1500 points of marines. As such, I can run just the marines in Armageddon against the orks which my son can play. Comparatively second Ed 40k had two tac marine squads and that was it for marines. Intercessors may not be exciting in and of themselves but the marine half isn't bad. You get basic infantry, choppy fly boys, chunky dakka lads and a speeder. There's enough different elements there for people to start with. I'm not sure what else people would want/ expect to see for a launch set.
  13. What else would you want to see for orks? It gives you: Army leader Lootentunt Psyker Big banner Painboy Core infantry choices 2 mobs of boys Mob of grots That's enough infantry to add to an army or genuinely sufficient that you wouldn't need any more. 2 vehicles Wartrakk Dakkarig - large centrepiece Objectively, what else would you want or expect to see?
  14. Very happy. I'm assuming there'll be another boys and grot kit to come as the sprue has 10 Boyz AND 5 grots. Double that will be for a combat patrol basis. Genuinely excited to paint this lot up although not too fussed by the big walker. Father son games inbound.
  15. I put mine on 40s back in 4th. For once in my life in ahead of the game. Think the ork half is fantastic. Not fussed by the walker but the rest are great. Really looking forward to painting these up.
