  1. points / rules adjustments are great just seems a bit too soon if you play just one army, say space marines, then you've been expected to buy: main rules index imperium codex space marines chapter approved i thought 8th was supposed to have less book bloat
  2. for slaaneshy dudes my colour choices go like this main (bright) colour (for me it was pink) - this is the main thing that will grab the eye - like the pink on EmpChildren accent colour (i went turquoise) - this is for smaller areas and things like power swords on marine models neutrals - everything else is painted either in a muted version of the main colour, or in white/black/grey/metalics - wip example - https://www.instagram.com/p/BapFlP1FfJc/
  3. dc dread costs 50+ pts more (dont have the book infront of me) than a wolf dread with axe/shield brutes are basically vanilla dreads to my knowledge currently id say wolves out of those three - but that might change with points/stat/rules adjustments in codex releases
  4. I hadn't noticed the bolding - so this thread has cleared things up for me without having to ask ^_^
  5. indeed there are not - but adding walker legs to a leman russ and using it as a leman russ wouldnt have conferred walker rules in 7th ed either I don't get your point. OP was worried about adding legs to a tank "because walker rules were so different". I'm pointing out that they are no differences. I don't see what 7th has to do with anything? yeah thats me not reading the op fully... i was trying to say that customising the appearance of a model doesn't change its rules
  6. indeed there are not - but adding walker legs to a leman russ and using it as a leman russ wouldnt have conferred walker rules in 7th ed either
  7. oooh you must post pics as you go if you're going the scratchbuild route ^_^
  8. try and keep them the same footprint + height and i wouldn't have an issue - it would only be a deal with line of sight etc if your leman russ was able to see over all of the terrain because of its defiler legs :P
  9. as someone with EC and DE, they're both awesome, why not have both ^_^
  10. i keep finding in 8th that the army looks weak when i've built it, and then it outperforms my expectations (drugs changing the statline of wych cult units, and PFP) what you need will always depend on your opponents lists - but the hardest thing to get enough of (imo) is anti tank - so I've been taking a squad of scourge with dark lances in my lists
  11. to my knowledge, cows only have large udders when theyre producing milk, which seems unlikely to me for a nurgle cow :P
  12. if you want non-chaos it might be worth asking in the loyalist part of the forum ;) other than that, i'd consider looking at "fallen"
  13. have done this, i approve theres an image of how it came out on my instagram happy to upload more shots if you want hellblasters into noise marines works pretty well imo
